Your Love Shapes Our Life

“You can believe that if you want, but I don’t believe what you believe.” Words that pierced the core of my heart.

Even though I knew deep down those words came out of his pain, they made my pain greater.

But I knew…

We know…

That he can restore sight to the blind and bring the dying and dead back to life.

Lord, let your love shape us…

Let your death bring us back to life…

That is my only hope...

April 21, 2021 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Psalm 119:41-49 MSG [41-48] Let your love, God , shape my life with salvation, exactly as you promised; Then I'll be able to stand up to mockery because I trusted your Word.... I'll stride freely through wide open spaces as I look for your truth and your wisdom; Then I'll tell the world what I find, speak out boldly in public, unembarrassed. Remember your promise to me. It is my only hope.

Father God, thank you for another day that we can praise you and bless you for (our loved one). Lord, we pray that your love, God would shape (our loved one's) life with salvation, exactly as you have promised; Lord, we know that that is the only way (our loved one) would be able to stand against (his/her) oppression...because (he/she) trusts in your word. I pray that (our loved one) would stride freely in wide open spaces as (he/she) looks for your truth and your wisdom.

We pray that (our loved one) would give testimony to the world what (he/she) found and that (he/she) would speak out boldly, in public, unembarrassed about what You have done in (his/her life). Lord we trust in your promises today as they are our only hope. We look forward to the day when these promises will be fulfilled! In Jesus Name we pray! Amen.

You are Loved and Valued

Over the years as I've read these verses it's so easy to think in terms of others or of the really "BIG" sins in our life. Today as you pray this for your loved one I challenge you to think of the "little" things that we do that we repeat over and over. For me it's jumping to conclusions (the way out is to stop and breathe and not make assumptions). It's to over-react (again, slow down before I speak). Maybe it's a swear word that flies out of my mouth when I'm mad (oops - that darn mouth always gets me in trouble). It is often to go to the diet coke or food when I'm stressed (not necessary and not the answer to the problem). Or my big one (drum roll please) is to worry way too much about what other people think (replace the lies from the enemy with the truth of God -- that I am loved and valued no matter what. Period.)

And God promises to help us to overcome any struggle, any stronghold, any temptation in our life. Wow! Now all I have to do is LET Him! That's part of my recovery program. To give all of this yuck back to God

So I ponder these verses today as the apply to my life and I pray them for my loved ones as they apply to their lives.

April 20, 2023 Our prayer for our loved one today

1 Corinthians 10:13 But remember this—the wrong desires that come into your life aren’t anything new and different. Many others have faced exactly the same problems before you. And no temptation is irresistible. You can trust God to keep the temptation from becoming so strong that you can’t stand up against it, for he has promised this and will do what he says. He will show you how to escape temptation’s power so that you can bear up patiently against it.

Lord God, our hearts are burdened for our loved ones. Lord, to whom can we go but You. You hear our broken cries. Lord, we pray today on behalf of (our loved one). Lord, we know that the wrong desires that have come into (our loved one’s) life aren't anything new and different to you. We know that others have faced and conquered these very same problems. And NO temptation that could come before (our loved one) is irresistible. Lord, we pray that (our loved one) would trust You when (his/her) temptation is so strong that (he/she) feels that (he/she) can't stand up against it. Lord, we know that your promises are true and you promise that you will provide (our loved one) a way to escape temptations power and bear up against it if (he/she) simply calls out to you. Lord, we pray that (our loved one) would whisper the words "help me Jesus" today. We pray this in your son's holy name. Amen!

Love Never Fails

Today, may you grasp how much he loves you.

He loves you fully. He loves you in the heaviness, the fear, the doubt and the resignation.

And as he loves us, so we are called to love fully in the messiness of it all.

Because love never fails.

April 19, 2023 Our prayer for Our Loved One today:

1 Corinthians 13:7 ESV [7] Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Merciful Father, we come to you today knowing….knowing how much you love us. Knowing how much you believe in us. Knowing how much you desire that each one of us step into the fullness you have for us in this life. Lord we ask that you would give is the strength to bear up under the load we are carrying, the imagination to believe the goodness of heaven on Earth today, the power of hope in the restoration of our family and the perseverance to endure any struggle that comes our way today. We pray for [our loved one] today. [He/she] is carrying a boulder that is far too heavy for [him/her]. Give [him/her] the strength to bear up under the weight of all that [he/she] is carrying today. Lord, we ask that you will fill [our loved one’s] mind with the dreams and visions for [his/her] future that you have given [him/her] so [he/she] can begin to walk in that truth. We pray that you would fill [our loved one’s] heart to overflowing with the hope that only begins to well up as a result of your love. And we ask that you would fill [our loved one’s] spirit with the determination to endure through the struggles, knowing that just beyond this mountain [he/she] is climbing are your streams of living water. Lord, we know that love never fails. Lord, we receive this gift from you today and pray these things in your holy name. Amen.

Surrender

I read these verses this morning and I just thought, this is perfect for us. Jesus is looking at each of us, who might think that somehow WE will be the one to get them into a rehab or off the streets or that somehow by our power we are going to be the one who saves them.

But when we have stepped out of the way, I have seen God do things beyond what we could have ever imagine.

If you think you can pull this off in your own strength or by your actions, he's saying “nope, not going to happen.”

However, we have every chance in the world if we trust God to do it.

That is surrender...

April 18, 2023 Our Prayer for Our Loved One today:

Matthew 19:26 MSG [26] Jesus looked hard at them and said, "No chance at all if you think you can pull it off yourself. Every chance in the world if you trust God to do it."

Abba pappa.....oh Lord, I come to you today because I know that I am getting in your way Lord. I admits that I want to be the one to save but I know that job belongs to you and you alone. Lord, I realize that while I can be a tool for you to use, I do not have the power to transform (my loved one). But you do Lord. Lord today help me to trust you with (my loved one's) life. I surrender (him/her) at the foot of the cross. (He/she) belongs to you Lord. Lord, I ask for the strength to walk through today in cooperation with you. Lord, I DO trust you Lord. And I thank you for the work you are doing in my life. I pray this prayer in your Son's Holy Name. Amen

You Are Set Apart

Each morning I take time and space to sit on my chair with my cup of coffee and reflect on my life. It’s also a time when I choose to practice gratitude. I believe the enemy wants to distract us from finding joy and love and peace.

In the middle of difficult times, it’s easy to lose sight of the gifts we have been giving.

It's raining out? Thank God you have a roof over your head.

Your car has broken down? Thank God that you have 2 feet and can walk somewhere.

And no matter what’s going on with you or your loved one, by the sheer nature of the fact that God created you, you are loved and you, my friend are HIGHLY valued. And so is your loved one.

And He is on your side. He wants only good for you and your family.

Today I am choosing to see my loved one as God sees Him.

Thanking God that He loves perfectly. And learning to love like Him.

April 17, 2023 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Jeremiah 1:5 NIV [5] “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you...

Lord, thank you. Thank you that You are the God of the universe and the God of the smallest organism and the God of (my loved one). Lord I thank you that you created (our loved one) perfectly and wonderfully. I thank you that before (he/she) was even conceived You KNEW (him/her). Lord thank you that (our loved one) is set apart. You have a plan. You have a purpose for (his/her) life. You have appointed (our loved one) to do specific things for your kingdom. Lord, I pray that (our loved one) would, through something or someone, see you today. That (he/she) would experience Your love. And that today would be the day (he/she ) would begin to understand how much You love (him/her). We pray this in Your son's precious name. Amen!

His Love Will Lead Them Home

A simple promise..

He is always with us, watching over all of us.

And He WILL bring them back to us one day. His love will lead them home.

April 15, 2023 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Genesis 28:15 NIV [15] I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you. ”

Father God, we come before you today confident that your word is truth and that you will never leave us and never leave (our loved one). Lord, we pray that you will be with (our loved one) today and that you will watch over (him/her) wherever (he/she) may go. We believe that one day you will bring (him/her) back to "this land" - to us...to (his/her) family, to those who love (him/her). Lord, we believe today that you will not ever leave (our loved one) and that you will do what you have promised, that your love will lead (him/her) home. Lord, we trust in your words this morning. Lord we ask that they would give us peace. In Jesus Name we pray! Amen.

Shout for Joy

Lord, keep my loved ones safe...

Hide them in your precious shelter...

And one day...

Set them high on your rock...

To triumphantly sing Your praises and shout for joy!

April 14, 2023 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Psalm 27:4-5 NIV [4] One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple[5] For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock.

Father God, there is one thing that I ask of you today, one thing that I seek; that [our loved one] would dwell in your house all of the rest of the days of [his/her] life, that [our loved one] would gaze upon your beauty and that [our loved one] would seek you in your holy temple. I pray that in [our loved one’s] moments of trouble that you would keep [him/her] safe in your dwelling place; that you would protect [our loved one] in the shelter of Your sacred tent and that You would set [our loved one] high upon a rock. Lord I humbly ask that You hold [our loved one] in the palm of your hand today. In Jesus name we pray. Amen!

The Truth Sets Us Free

The lies of the enemy will hold us captive.

“I am a failure”

“I am not good enough”

“I caused these problems.”

“This will never change.”

Freedom comes when we believe the truth.

The truth is....God LOVES you!

The truth is....God LOVES your prodigal more than you do!

The truth is....there is NO condemnation through Christ!!!

The truth is....He is able to break any and every chain!!!

The truth is...NO weapon forged against you or your loved one’s can prevail.

Walk in truth and you will walk in freedom today.

April 13, 2023 Our prayer for our loved one today.

John 8:32 NIV [32] Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Lord, we come to you in love and adoration today with a heart of gratitude, because your word gives us hope! We know in our hearts that we can fully put our trust in you and you alone. Lord, today we pray that you will reveal truth to us and to [our loved one]. We believe that where Your truth exists, chains will be broken and [our loved one] will be set free! I pray against any lies that I or [our loved one] might be believing. Give us clarity and purpose and give us the power and strength to walk in that truth today. We pray this in your son's precious name! Amen.

Great Abundance

Fire…

The killing off.

The cleansing.

The refining.

The clearing out for all that’s new.

You might be in the middle of the fire today. The burning off.

Know...

He will bring us through the fire. And just like in nature, after the fire will come abundance.

Beauty from ashes.

For us...

For our loved one...

April 12, 2023 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Psalm 66:12 NLT [12] We went through fire and flood, but you brought us to a place of great abundance.

Lord, we come before you this today with expectation and hope in our hearts. We thank you that you are real and your promises are true. Lord, we believe that you go before us, you are with us and you go behind us. We are in the middle of the flood and the fire. Lord, [our loved one] is in the middle of the flood and fire. But you promise that you will bring [our loved one] through these trying times. Lord, we thank you! We thank you that one day [our loved one] will walk out of the fire and into a place of great abundance. That out of the ashes of our lives, something truly beautiful will be reborn. We trust you and today we are going to choose to walk in that hope! In Jesus precious name we pray. Amen

Never Lose Hope

This season we are in may look like a tragedy to you.

Road blocks.

Dead ends.

One difficult situation after another.

Yet, we don't know the thoughts that go through our loved ones heads. We can't hear their hearts cry. But God does. He hears them and He sees their tears. And He will be faithful to rescue them when they call out to Him.

We never know when that moment will come. It may come in the middle of the most unlikely circumstances.

And it is why we can never lose hope.

April 10, 2023 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Psalm 3:3-5,8 NIV [3] But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. [4] I call out to the Lord, and he answers me from his holy mountain. [5] I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me. [8] From the Lord comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people.

Oh Lord, thank you that you are a God who loves us and cares for us and loves our children even more than we do. Lord, we ask today that you be a shield around (our loved one). Lord, lift (our loved one's) head high today. Lord, when (our loved one) calls out to you we pray that you answer (him/her) from your Holy Mountain! Lord, when (our loved one) lies down to sleep let (him/her) awake anew because You sustain (him/her). Lord from YOU comes deliverance for (our loved one). Lord, may your blessings be on (him/her) today. We pray this in your Son's precious name! Amen.

He Saves Us

Recently a young woman in recovery shared her story with me. She described THE moment. The moment that she completely surrendered, turned her back on her old life and ran into the arms of her Abba Daddy.

The moment she was radically and instantly delivered. She was in a state of near death (literally) and God not only delivered her from death but then completely redeemed her life.

I picture God standing off in the distance, with his arms open wide, saying "come, come to me. I have this gift for you! It's called LIFE." It is available for ALL of us when we run to Him instead of doing life our own way.

Praying we ALL have that moment of surrender and run into His open arms today!

April 11, 2023 Our Prayer for our Loved One today:

Psalm 37:39-40 (MSG)The spacious, free life is from GOD, it’s also protected and safe. GOD -strengthened, we’re delivered from evil— when we run to him, he saves us.

Lord, today we come before you desiring freedom! Freedom from oppression and death. We know that You and You alone give us life and give it abundantly. Lord, we thank you for the gift of life and pray today that (our loved one) would desire that gift as well. Lord, we pray that (our loved one) would chose to live that spacious, free life that only You can give (him/her) and in that life (he/she) would be protected and safe. Lord, we pray (our loved one) would be GOD-strengthened and delivered from all evil. Lord when we run to You, You save us! Lord, we pray that (our loved one) would run to You today! We thank you that you are our deliverer and pray this in Your Son's precious name! Amen

He Has Risen!

HE WAS RISEN!!! The stone was rolled back. The tomb was empty.

The power of God rolled back that stone and raised Christ from the dead.

And YOU have that same power IN you when you believe.

Do you feel burdened today.....call on that power to bring you peace.

Do you feel sad.....call on that power to bring you joy.

Do you feel alone.....that power (Christ himself) dwells in you...you are never alone.

Do you feel defeated.....call on that power to rebuke the enemy and be victorious.

And do you feel hopeless....remember just 2 days before that amazing Sunday Christ lay dead on the cross. And now he had risen.

With God, all things are possible!

Today, I pray you will all walk in that power, the same power that raised Christ from the dead. And I pray that you will understand that God can turn things around for you in an instant.

The power of the cross....

Our HOPE!

April 9, 2023 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Romans 8:9-11 MSG [10-11] It stands to reason, doesn't it, that if the alive-and-present God who raised Jesus from the dead moves into your life, he'll do the same thing in you that he did in Jesus, bringing you alive to himself? When God lives and breathes in you (and he does, as surely as he did in Jesus), you are delivered from that dead life. With his Spirit living in you, your body will be as alive as Christs!

Father God, we thank you that in You there is hope and life. Lord, it stands to reason...that if You, the alive-and present God who raise your son from the dead moves into (our loved ones) life, that we trust that You will do the same thing for (our loved one) that You did in Jesus...bringing (him/her) alive unto You!!! God, when you live and breathe into (our loved one) as surely as you did in Jesus, we believe (he/she) will be delivered from death to life!! With Your Spirit living in (our loved one) (he/she) will be ALIVE as Christ's! Lord, we wait expectantly for that day to come soon with trust and hope! We pray this in Jesus Holy Name! Amen

Sunday is Coming!

Saturday. The day after the darkest day in history.

Mary, the disciples, the believers

Were all asking "why?'

I have asked why so many times. "Why did my son have to die when I prayed so faithfully for him day in and day out."

"Why God?"

Some days we just have to gut it out with our faith. We wrestle with God and yell and scream and say "really God? This is what you had in mind?"

That day looked dark and bleak and hopeless. But Sunday was coming!

Mary had no idea what it all meant. But behind the scene He was making a way. He was doing a new thing.

And He is doing a new thing in my life and in your life and in your loved one's life today.

He opens a pathway through the wilderness in front of us. He quenches our thirst and refreshes us. He draws us back to him. His love leads us home.

April 8, 2023 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Isaiah 43:18-20 NLT

[18] "But forget all that- it is nothing compared to what I am going to do[19] For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland[20] Yes, I will make rivers in the dry wasteland so my chosen people can be refreshed.

Father God, we come before you today trusting. Trusting that your promises are real and true. When we can't hold on to anything else, we hold on to that. We know that nothing can compare to what you are going to do in [our loved one's] life! We believe that you are about to do something new, something amazing in [our loved one]. Yes Lord! It has already begun. Lord, we believe that you will make a pathway through the wilderness so that [our loved one] can find you. And you will create rivers in the dry wasteland of [his/her] life so that [our loved one] will be refreshed and made new in you. We believe that you are at work right now to restore our lives and our families to the abundant promised land you have waiting for all of us. Lord, we are thankful. We pray this promise and agree with it in your Son's precious name. Amen

GOOD Friday

That day. The day after the darkest day in history. A day of great grief. A day of loss. A day of confusion. She believed that what He had promised was true, yet now her son was gone.

She was crushed. Devastated. Full of angst and disappointment. Full of sorrow. She was told by God her son was going to be the King of Kings. And he had just been crucified on an old wooden cross.

You may be experiencing many of the same emotions today as Mary did on that day.

WHERE ARE YOU GOD????? THIS IS NOT WHAT I HAD PLANNED??? I THOUGHT YOU WERE GOOD??? YOU LET MY SON DIE!!!!!

But like us on this day, she couldn't see what was going to happen the NEXT day. She couldn't begin to comprehend, to wrap her brain around what God was going to do in just 24 short hours.

God IS here my friends. He is with you in this dark valley that you walk through . He is with your loved one as they are walking through the darkest of valleys.

And the HOPE. The HOPE that we have is in what happened the next day. The hope is in the promises, the assurance that we KNOW He never leaves our side.

April 7, 2023 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Psalm 23:1-6 NIV [1] The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. [2] He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, [3] he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. [4] Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. [5] You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. [6] Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Thank you Lord that you are (our loved one’s) shepherd and in You (he/she) will have everything (he/she) needs for an abundant life. Lord, as I pray that (our loved one) will rest in You today I ask that you quiet (our loved one’s) spirit and refresh and restore (our loved one’s) soul. Lord, I feel today that (our loved one’s) walking through the darkest of valley's, Lord but THANK YOU that you are always with (him/her) and that because of that, I have nothing to fear. Lord, we ask that your rod would protect (our loved one) today. Lord with your staff, draw me and (our loved one) near to you. Lord comfort (our loved one) as only you can. You provide for (him/her) a table, a feast even before (his/her) enemies, to the point where (his/her) cup will overflow with abundance! Lord, thank you that your goodness and your mercies will follow (our loved one) all of the days of (our loved one’s) life and for the amazing promise that I will dwell with you in your house forever, eternally. Lord, I thank you and praise you for all of these things today. In Jesus Name! Amen.

He is the God Who Saves

Sometimes we get so caught up in the ugly, that we don't see our loved ones the way God sees them.

But they are precious. They are a gift. They are beautiful in his eyes.

And God sent His own child to be sacrificed so that our loved ones could be saved. So that they can experience abundant life on this Earth and eternally.

Thanking God for that promise today and praying this will be the day our loved ones will whisper "save me."

April 6, 2023 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Isaiah 12:2-5 NLT [2] See, God has come to save me. I will trust in him and not be afraid. The LORD GOD is my strength and my song; he has given me victory." Let them know how mighty he is! [5] Sing to the LORD, for he has done wonderful things. Make known his praise around the world.

We trust in your promises today and we pray all of these things in your might name! Amen!

Trust in Him

As I've walked through this journey with my loved one, I have had to learn that God's ways are not man's ways, nor are they at all my ways.

Most of the time I don't understand.

I know that you all have big questions as well. Lot's of whys? Things we will never know the answer to, this side of heaven.

So many times I have had to wrestle with God. To work through the process of surrender and to truth. It doesn't come natural for any of us. But I have learned that it is the path to abundant life.

Praying today for you, as you wrestle through your questions for God. And praying today for our loved ones. That they would finally come to that place of total surrender.

April 5, 2023 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV

[5] Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; [6] in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Lord, God your word says that if we delight ourselves in you, you will give us the desires of our heart. Lord, our desire is this...that (our loved one) would trust in YOU Lord, with all of (his/her) heart. That (our loved one) would not lean on (his/her) own understanding. Lord, we pray today that in all of (our loved one's) ways they would submit to You Lord and that You would make (his/her) path straight. Lord, we ask for these simple things today in your Son's precious name! Amen

Fight the Good Fight

They fight…

They fight to stop.

They fight to feel normal.

They fight to breathe another day…

We fight.

We fight to love them radically

We fight to surrender them to the only one who can truly save them

We fight to live in a place of peace

We fight to not die with them.

And today...

Know that He died for the fight. He died so that we would be filled with the strength and power to continue to fight.

Praying today that we all continue to fight the good fight.

April 4, 2023 Our prayer for our loved one today:

2 Timothy 4:7-8 NIV

[7] I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith[8] Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day---and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

Abba daddy, we sit at your feet today, pressed in because that is where our strength comes from. We know that You are a good and merciful God. We pray today that [our loved one] would continue, minute by minute, to fight the good fight. We pray that [he/she] would have the strength to walk through the tasks set before [him/her]. Lord, fill [him/her] to overflowing with the faith that only you can give [him/her]. We pray that [our loved one] would grasp the hope that comes with the battle, that this is for [his/her] freedom. But it isn't just freedom for this moment in time, but a freedom that will last for eternity. Father, wrap [our loved one] up in Your love and Your power and Your grace today. In Your son's precious name we pray. Amen

You are CHOSEN.

You are loved by God

You are called by God

You are chosen by God

Each one of us is. No one is excluded. It’s just a matter of when we are going to step into that truth.

He sees you my friends. He knows what you are going through. And he alone can take your pain, your struggles, your messes and make them into something marvelous in your life and the life of others.

Today I thank God that he chose my prodigal and pray with all my soul that soon he will step into the abundant life God has waiting for him.

April 3, 2023 Our prayer for our loved one today:

1 Peter 2:9-10 MSG [9-10] But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God's instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you---from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted.

Father we humbly come before you today acknowledging what you did on the cross for us. Your death has made us chosen by God. Lord, I believe that [our loved one] was chosen for a high calling, chosen to be a Holy person, chosen as one of your special instruments to do Your work and speak out for You!! I believe that one day [our loved one] will give testimony to the night and day difference that You have made for [our loved one] in [his/her] life! I praise you Father God that through Your death You have made [our loved one] a new creation. From nothing...to something, from rejected to accepted! I believe that this is already done and will come to pass in your perfect timing. I lay claim to these words in your Son's precious name today! Amen!!

God is Whispering "Come home."

The call that your loved one is in jail…

The call that your loved one has OD’d…

The call that your loved one is back out there…

The call that there will be a funeral next week…

You may have gotten that call yesterday, or the day before.

Or you may get it today.

And you feel abandoned…

Do not doubt for one second that God sees you. He knows exactly what you are going through today.

And He is saying to you right now, “Call on me. Come to me. Just say the word. And I will deliver you from fear, from anxiety, from hopelessness.”

And God is whispering to your loved one today “Come home.”

April 1, 2023 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Psalm 50:15 NKJV [15] Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me."

Lord, we come before you today determined to remain faithful in prayer. We are grateful that you are a God of grace and a God of mercy. And as we are faithful to pray, we believe that you are faithful to answer us as we cry out to you. Lord, we call upon you today in our day of trouble and on behalf of [our loved one] who is struggling. We pray that [our loved one] will call on you today and that You would hear [his/her] cry and You would deliver [our loved one]. We believe that when that day comes, when you deliver [our loved one] that [he/she] WILL glorify you! We pray that this vision will come to pass quickly Lord, but we trust and believe it will happen in Your perfect timing. Lord, we are thankful that we can trust in Your sovereign plan for our lives. We pray this prayer in Your Son's precious name! Amen!

You Are Safe

He asks, "Do you trust me?"

I say "Of course Lord, I trust you."

He says, "Do you really really trust me?"

He says, "Then surrender. Let me handle this. I am fighting this battle for you in ways you can't even imagine!"

I say, "Yes Lord" as I wave my white flag!

And then... He turns to my loved one and says:

“Call to me and I'll answer....

I'll be by your side in bad times...

I'll rescue you....”

Words that I hold on to tightly. Words that I pray. Words of comfort and hope.

March 31, 2023 Our Prayer for our Loved One today:

Psalm 91:1-16 MSG [1-13] God , you're my refuge. I trust in you and I'm safe!" That's right---he rescues you from hidden traps, shields you from deadly hazards. His huge outstretched arms protect you--- under them you're perfectly safe; his arms fend off all harm....Yes, because God 's your refuge, ...Evil can't get close to you, harm can't get through the door. He ordered his angels to guard you wherever you go. If you stumble, they'll catch you; their job is to keep you from falling. [14-16] "If you'll hold on to me for dear life," says God , "I'll get you out of any trouble. I'll give you the best of care if you'll only get to know and trust me. Call me and I'll answer, be at your side in bad times; I'll rescue you...I'll give you a long life, give you a long drink of salvation!"
