“I have seen what they do, but I will heal them anyway.”
This morning, those words truly cut deep.
He sees what we do...every little scowl, every eye-ball roll, every middle-finger. He hears our gossip, our anger, our complaining. He sees the pills we take, the wine we drink and the porn we watch.
And He will heal us anyway.
Because that is grace.
And if we are to be like Him, if we are to love like Him, our command is to extend that same grace to others.
And the grace that we extend to others will turn our tears into songs of praise!
And He will bring us peace...
November 7, 2024 Our prayer for our loved one today:
Isaiah 57:18-19 NLT[18] I have seen what they do, but I will heal them anyway! I will lead them. I will comfort those who mourn, [19] bringing words of praise to their lips. May they have abundant peace, both near and far," says the LORD, who heals them.
Oh Lord, we come before you today knowing that you are omnipotent are sovereign. You know everything about us. Where we sit and where we stand. And Lord, we know that You see EVERYTHING we do. Yet Lord, you continue to love us, to cherish us, to bless us. Lord, we thank you today for this assurance....that in spite of our rebellion you promise to heal (our loved one) and you will lead (him/her). Lord, I thank you that You will bring (our loved one) to a place of rest in You. Lord, thank you that when that time comes You will comfort (our loved one) and You will comfort each of us who have loved and prayed and mourned for (him/her). Lord, thank you that you promise to change our tears to words of praise; change our worries, fears and anxiety to abundant peace! Lord, we THANK YOU that you are trustworthy and that You will keep Your promises! We pray this today in Jesus precious name. Amen
