You know, the reason I pray scripture prayers and share them is because I believe the Bible is real and true. And that we don't get to pick and choose the parts that we want to believe and those that we don't think apply to us.
So when God says He loves us, it's pretty easy to believe that. We admit that we know that's true.
But when God says He wants to heal us or He wants to restore us or He came to bring life to EVERYONE or He wants us to be strong in the spirit, we tend to think...we'll that works for others (the pastor at church, the person next door, the righteous one) but we we have a hard time believing those truths for our lives. We deeply doubt that those things could happen for us or our family or our loved one.
But I have seen healing. I have seen restoration. I have seen lovely people, people you meet on the street who are living a prosperous, abundant life who will tell you their stories of deliverance and redemption. People who were on the streets for YEARS. People who were homeless and in bondage to drugs and alcohol.
People who were blind and now see...
People who were lost and now are found...
THAT IS WHAT OUR GOD CAN DO!!!
April 2, 2019 Our prayer for our loved one today:
1 Corinthians 2:9 NIV However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”---the things God has prepared for those who love him---
Lord, we come before you this morning with thanksgiving and gratitude for the love that you have for us. We believe that you have a great plan for (our loved one). We wait expectantly for what you have in store for (him/her). Lord, no eye has seen, no ear has heard and no human mind can conceive the things that You have prepared for (our loved one). We pray with confidence that you hold (our loved one’s) future. We wait in hope for what you are about to do. In your son's precious name we pray. Amen!
