His Strength; Not My Strength

Philippians 3:12-13 TPT [12] I admit that I haven't yet acquired the absolute fullness that I'm pursuing, but I run with passion into his abundance so that I may reach the purpose that Jesus Christ has called me to fulfill and wants me to discover. [13] I don't depend on my own strength to accomplish this; however I do have one compelling focus: I forget all of the past as I fasten my heart to the future instead.

Father God, I admit today that I have doubts. I have fears. I have not yet grasped all that you have for me, for us, for our family. But I walk in faith, pursuing, with passion, the abundance that you have waiting for me. Lord, I believe with all my heart, that you have that same abundance waiting for (our loved one), that you have a passion and purpose for (him/her) and that you are simply waiting for (our loved one) to simply step into everything you have ready for (him/her). Lord, we know that nothing can be accomplished in our own strength. But when we focus on you, anything is possible. Lord, today I leave the past behind. And I pray that (our loved one) leaves the past behind as well. Help each one of us to focus squarely on you, that (our loved one) would fasten (his/her) heart to you alone and to everything the future holds for (him/her). Lord, today we wait with expectations, anticipating all the goodness you have for us. We ask these things in your son’s precious name. Amen

He is Alive!

HE WAS RISEN!!!

The stone was rolled back. The tomb was empty.

The power of God rolled back that stone and raised Christ from the dead.

And YOU have that same power IN you when you believe. D

o you feel burdened today.....call on that power to bring you peace.

Do you feel sad.....call on that power to bring you joy.

Do you feel alone.....that power (Christ himself) dwells in you...you are never alone.

Do you feel defeated.....call on that power to rebuke the enemy and be victorious.

And do you feel hopeless....remember just 2 days before that amazing Sunday Christ lay dead on the cross.

And now he had risen.

With God, all things are possible!

Today, I pray you will all walk in that power, the same power that raised Christ from the dead.

And I pray that you will understand that God can turn things around for you in an instant.

The power of the cross....

Our HOPE!

April 12, 2020 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Romans 8:9-11 MSG [10-11] It stands to reason, doesn't it, that if the alive-and-present God who raised Jesus from the dead moves into your life, he'll do the same thing in you that he did in Jesus, bringing you alive to himself? When God lives and breathes in you (and he does, as surely as he did in Jesus), you are delivered from that dead life. With his Spirit living in you, your body will be as alive as Christ's!

Father God, we thank you that in You there is hope and life. Lord, it stands to reason...that if You, the alive-and present God who raise your son from the dead moves into (our loved ones) life, that we trust that You will do the same thing for (our loved one) that You did in Jesus...bringing (him/her) alive unto You!!! God, when you live and breathe into (our loved one) as surely as you did in Jesus, we believe (he/she) will be delivered from death to life!! With Your Spirit living in (our loved one) (he/she) will be ALIVE as Christ's! Lord, we wait expectantly for that day to come soon with trust and hope! We pray this in Jesus Holy Name! Amen

The Day After

The day after.

The day after the darkest day in history.

A day of great grief. A day of loss. A day of confusion. She believed that what He had promised was true, yet now her son was gone.

She was crushed. Devastated. Full of angst and disappointment. Full of sorrow.

She was told by God her son was going to be the King of Kings. And he had just been crucified on an old wooden cross.

You may be experiencing many of the same emotions today as Mary did on that day.

WHERE ARE YOU GOD????? THIS IS NOT WHAT I HAD PLANNED??? I THOUGHT YOU WERE GOOD??? YOU LET MY SON DIE!!!!!

But like us on this day, she couldn't see what was going to happen the NEXT day. She couldn't begin to comprehend, to wrap her brain around what God was going to do in just 24 short hours.

God IS here my friends.

He is with you in this dark valley that you walk through . He is with your loved one as they are walking through the darkest of valleys.

And the HOPE.

The HOPE that we have is in what happened the next day. The hope is in the promises, the assurance that we KNOW He never leaves our side.

April 11, 2020 Our prayer for our loved one today: Psalm 23:1-6 NIV [1] The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. [2] He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, [3] he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. [4] Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. [5] You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. [6] Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Thank you Lord that you are (our loved one’s) shepherd and in You (he/she) will have everything (he/she) needs for an abundant life. Lord, as I pray that (our loved one) will rest in You today I ask that you quiet (our loved one’s) spirit and refresh and restore (our loved one’s) soul. Lord, I feel today that (our loved one’s) walking through the darkest of valley's, Lord but THANK YOU that you are always with (him/her) and that because of that, I have nothing to fear. Lord, we ask that your rod would protect (our loved one) today. Lord with your staff, draw me and (our loved one) near to you. Lord comfort (our loved one) as only you can. You provide for (him/her) a table, a feist even before (his/her) enemies, to the point where (his/her) cup will overflow with abundance! Lord, thank you that your goodness and your mercies will follow (our loved one) all of the days of (our loved one’s) life and for the amazing promise that I will dwell with you in your house forever, eternally. Lord, I thank you and praise you for all of these things today. In Jesus Name! Amen.

It Is Finished

And on that day…

He took his last…

And said “It is finished.”

We don’t have to do the work of saving.

He did it for us.

On that dark day, He put our burdens on His shoulders once and for all.

Today, on this Good Friday.

Rest in knowing that you can rest in that victory.

April 10, 2020 Our prayer for Our Loved One Today.

John 19:30 30 When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

Father God, we humbly come before you today, thankful for what this day means.  That what you did on the cross was complete.  It was finished.  And Lord, I thank you that you did that for me and that you did that for (our loved one).  I thank you that you have given me the assurance that with your death, comes life.  Lord today I pray that (our loved one) would receive the gift of the love that you have for (him/her).  The love that came with the ultimate sacrifice.  Thank you that it is finished. In Jesus holy name we pray.  Amen

The Miracle of Hope

Today, no doubt, you are suffering.  Life would be hard regardless, but our current circumstances create even more hardship.

In the middle of the muck and the difficulties and the ugly, it's really hard to see when or how or where things are going to end. Hard to visualize things getting better. Hard to picture things different.  Hard to imagine our loved one free and healthy and living in abundance.

Right now there is a lot we don't know.  Much we don't understand.  And yet, truth says that faith is believing in what is unseen.  That in God's perfect timing we will "see."

These verses promise us that we WILL share in His glory. And after this time of suffering...

He will restore them.

He will support them.

He will strengthen them.

And he will place them on a firm foundation.

So we can look down the road and choose to look at the future in one of 2 ways. Either the way it is now or the way we believe God will have it be in his perfect timing.

That is the miracle of hope.

April 9, 2020 Our prayer for our loved one today:

1 Peter 5:10 NLT [10] In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.

Lord God, You are all loving, all powerful and all kind. And in Your amazing kindness, you have called (our loved one) to share in Your eternal glory through your son Christ Jesus, who died for us. Lord (our loved one) is suffering. (He/She) is hurting. Lord, we believe Your promise today that (our loved ones) suffering will end and at that glorious time You will restore, support and strengthen (our loved one). You will place (him/her) on the firm foundation of Your love and grace and mercy. Lord we believe this promise today. We pray with confidence that this will come to pass in your perfect timing. In Your Son's name we pray. Amen

Speak Life

During the height of the craziness in our home we forgot. We forgot a lot of things to be honest. But mostly we forgot about the power God has given us with our words. Romans 4 says that God calls into being things that don’t exist as if they do, that he gives life to the dead. And in Romans 8 it says that WE have that same power in us.

What are we calling into existence today? Do our words build up or tear down?

Is our tongue being used to speak life or speak death over our loved ones?

Are we giving power to the enemy by verbally putting our ugly, destructive fears out there for him to play on?

Today….when we speak, let it be words of life. Let’s call those dry, dead bones to live and breathe once again!

April 7, 2020 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Ezekiel 37:4-6,14 NIV [4] Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, 'Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! [5] This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life[6] I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord. ' ” [14] I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken, and I have done it, declares the Lord. ' ”

Abba daddy, we come to you today feeling desperate and powerless. We confess that at times our words and the meditations of our hearts have been a tool of death. We know through our words and through the gift of prayer we have the power of life. Today, we call into being that which doesn’t exist as if it does. Lord, we speak healing and life over [our loved one]. We ask that you would breathe your breath into [our loved one’s] very soul. We pray that the dry, dead bones of a wounded and weary spirit would be healed in your name. We pray that you would put a new and fresh spirit in [him/her]. Fill [him/her] with the oxygen of hope Lord, bring [our loved one] back home, to the life you have claimed to be [our loved one’s]. We eagerly wait in expectation for You to show us the power you have to bring dry, dead bones back to life and we give You all of this honor and glory in your Son’s holy name we pray. Amen

You Are Chosen

There have been many times on this journey, sometimes when things were at their very worst, when a well, meaning, smiling, godly woman, would lovingly pat me on the arm and say “well, you know...

God works everything out for good.”

Tell that to a mama who’s loved one just went off the grid.

Tell that to a wife who just found out her loved one has graduated to heroin.

Tell that to the daddy who just watched his baby girl taken to prison in handcuffs.

Tell that to a grandma who just got a call that her child has od’d and she is now responsible for taking care of her grandchildren.

Tell that to the daughter who’s being verbally abused daily by her drugged up parent.

As well meaning as it all is, it can be pretty hard to hear sometimes.

BUT... These words ARE in the Bible. And if you continue to read the words following those, you will see one of the most amazing promises God wrote to us.

You see...I believe my loved one was chosen, called by God. And when I lose site of that I can become wounded, defensive or hopeless.

The truth is, no matter how I feel today God does promise that because we are chosen, because our loved one is chosen (whether they’ve discovered it yet or not) we can walk in this assurance.

One day, God will work everything out for his purposes for those who love and trust in Him.

April 7, 2020 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Romans 8:28-30 NCV [28] We know that in everything God works for the good of those who love him. They are the people he called, because that was his plan. [29] God knew them before he made the world, and he chose them to be like his Son so that Jesus would be the firstborn of many brothers and sisters. [30] God planned for them to be like his Son; and those he planned to be like his Son, he also called; and those he called, he also made right with him; and those he made right, he also glorified.

Father God, thank you that you know me and that you that you knew (our loved one) before you even created the world. Wow what wonderful knowledge that is! You knew us before you even created the world! Lord, we believe today that you are working everything out for good, because we love you. Lord, we believe in our heart that you have a calling on (our loved one’s) life and we hope in that plan for (his/her) future. And Lord, you CHOSE (our loved one) to be like your son so that Jesus would have many brothers and sisters. Lord, You have planned for (our loved one) to be like your son....to be like Jesus! How awesome is that promise Lord. And for those you have promised to be like your son (which includes us all) you have called. Yes Lord! You have called (our loved one) to be like YOU and to be made right with You! And thank you Lord that as you have created (our loved one), promised to make (him/her) like your own son, called (him/her) unto you to do great things and promised to make (him/her) right with you, so your words say you will glorify (our loved one). Lord, I visualize right now (my loved one) being glorified and honored by YOU...King of Kings and Lord of Lords! How precious is that picture Lord. Thank you for this promise to a broken hearted mamma this morning! I believe this and claim this today in your son's precious name! Amen!

Abundant Life

The enemy's tactics are rampant in most of our families. He has wreaked havoc in so many lives. Your life may be one of them.

But that is not God’s intention.

His intention was freedom for each one of us through the birth of His precious son. The baby born 2000 years ago to bring life for each one of us, the death that was the punishment for all of us and the resurrection that set us free once and for all.

So while there are forces all around us that want to steal our loved one, steal our joy and sometimes steal our very life, remember this…

He can only take from us what we give him.

There is a love that holds greater power than anything the thief can steal from us.

The love that came for you and for your precious loved one.

May you step into that love and abundance today.

April 6, 2020 Our prayer for our loved one today! John 10:10 NIV [10] The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

Lord, we cry out to you today on behalf of all of us who are lost and dying. Lord, we recognize the conflict. Light and dark, love and hate, life and death. Lord, there is a thief who has come to steal [our loved one], to kill [our loved one's] spirit and to destroy [his/her] life.. Lord we believe that you have come so that [our loved one] may live in all of the glorious fullness you desire for [him/her]! We pray against the evil forces that have their grip around [our loved one's] heart today and pray that you will reach down and grab ahold of [him/her], pull [him/her] up and draw [him/her] to you. We believe in your power to strengthen [our loved one] to overcome. We declare today that love wins, that life will win. In Jesus precious name we pray! Amen.

Peace Be With You

The not knowing.

The empty chair at the table.

The obvious absence of our precious loved one.

A pain impossible to walk through.

And we can't without leaning on Him.

Remember, as hard as it is for us, it's unbearable for our Loved Ones.

The distance. The separation. The alienation.

Yes, they can numb it, but when they wake up day after day in the same oppression, they feel restless and afraid and remorseful and dejected.

And they don't know how to get out of that cycle.

Today I pray the giver of peace fills each of us with overflowing peace as we listen for that quite voice that says “I love you.”

April 5, 2020 Our prayer for our Loved One today:

John 14:27 "I am leaving you with a gift-peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid.” Father God, you are the Prince of Peace. And you came to bring us the perfect peace that can only come from you. Lord, thank you for leaving us that gift. Peace of mind and heart. And I pray today that [our Loved One] would experience that gift in some small way. Through a touch, a smile, a sense that comes onto [him/her].

Lord, I pray that today [he/she] would look for that gift in You and not in anything the world can give [him/her]. And Lord, I pray that you would take any troubles, fear or anxiety and lift it from [our Loved One] today so that [he/she] can be completely filled to overflowing with Your peace!

No Condemnation

The spirit of condemnation.

The tool he uses to keep us sick.

“I am bad.”

“I am an addict.”

“I am the sum of my failures.”

“I will never get better”

The momentary numbing of the emotional pain always brings us back to bondage.

Today we pray against the spirit of condemnation and the spirit of failure. But this is why He came. To bear that shame on the cross.

No guilt, no shame.

A full pardon

April 4, 2020 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Romans 8:1-2 NIV[1] Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, [2] because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.

Father we come before you today with the authority of the suffering Jesus Christ paid on the cross. We thank you that because of his death we don’t have to live in lies and deception, that we can walk in truth. We pray against any spirit of condemnation or failure that has taken hold of [our loved one]. We believe that through Christ Jesus, your Spirit, who gives life to [our loved one], will set [him/her] free from sin and death. We believe that through you, true freedom will come to [our loved one]. We pray that all of [our loved one’s] chains will be broken today. We pray this with confidence in your son's Holy and precious name. Amen

Love Never Fails

One day, in the middle of all of the craziness, we were sitting across from a pastor asking for counsel. He gave us some pretty profound advice that changed the course of our journey. And as we finished the conversation he looked at us and said, “Just remember....LOVE NEVER FAILS.”

I know that I can’t love the way I need to, unless I fully understand how much my Heavenly Father loves me. So today, I pray that you will be absolutely filled to overflowing with the anointing love of our amazing God. So much so, that it overflows and spills out on everyone around you.

And I pray that love will drive everything you do, as you come alongside your precious loved one that is suffering. Because that love will lead them home.

April 3, 2020 Our prayer for our loved one today: 1 Thessalonians 3:11-13 MSG [11-13] May God our Father himself and our Master Jesus clear the road to you! And may the Master pour on the love so it fills your lives and splashes over on everyone around you, just as it does from us to you. May you be infused with strength and purity, filled with confidence in the presence of God our Father when our Master Jesus arrives with all his followers.

Lord God, we come before you today with the desire to fully experience Your love in our lives. We know that perfect love cast out all fear and that love never fails. Lord our motive for our prayers is love. Love for You and love for [our loved one]. Lord we pray today that You would intervene on our behalf and clear a road for [our loved one] straight to you! Lord we pray that You would pour out Your love so fully that it fills [our loved one's] life and splashes over on everyone around [our loved one], just as it has done from You to us! Lord we pray today that you would infuse [our loved one] with strength and purity. That you would fill [our loved one] with confidence in Your presence Lord. And that one day, when Your son appears You will say to us and to [our loved one] well done good and faithful servant. We ask this in Your Son's precious name. Amen.

He Heals the Shattered Soul

Sometimes we get so caught up in the trite sayings of "christianease." Like "all things work for good." And "Let go and let God." or "everything happens for a reason." I abhor those phrases.

Tell the mama who lost her son last night that all things work for good.

Tell the daddy who’s 18 year old daughter is shooting heroin to “let go.”

When we live with a loved one who is on a self-destructive path, we often live in the shadow of death and despair. To be clear, death and disease and drugs and pain and grief....they were NOT part of God's plan.

He didn't cause them. He didn't want this for His people. He wanted us to live a perfect life with Him at the center. In the Greek text the word for broken-hearted is translated shattered soul.

Thankfully His promise is to heal the shattered soul. And He promises that while horrible things happen to us in this world He is able to take the ashes of grief and mourning and turn them into the beauty of joy and praise, comfort and hope.

April 2, 2020 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Isaiah 61:1-3 NIV [1] The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, [2] to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and ...to comfort all who mourn, [3] and provide for those who grieve in Zion---to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.

Abba daddy, we humbly come before You ready to receive the Good News that You have for us. We thank You that Your desire is to bind up the brokenhearted and to FREE (our loved one) and to release each of us from the darkness that exists around us. Lord, we proclaim Your favor over our life and (our loved one's) life and we receive the gift of Your comfort as we weep for (our loved one). Lord we accept Your comfort as we grieve. We rejoice in the coming day when you will bestow on us and on (our loved one) a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning and a garment of praise instead of despair, because that is Your perfect plan for us. And we exalt the day when (our loved one) will be called an oak of righteousness and (he/she) will stand before You whole and healed in ALL of (his/her) slender and glory. Lord, we receive today Your healing and Your faithful promises for our lives. In Jesus precious name we pray. Amen.

I Will Go Before You

I will go before you my child....and make sure you have a place to sleep tonight.

I will go before you my child....and provide an angel to give you the hug that you so badly need.

I will go before you my child...and give you the food you need for lunch today.

I will go before you my child...and protect you from that person that meant to harm you.

I will go before you my child...and open the door for you to get the help you need.

I will go before you my sweet child and clear a path so wide that you will know that I am the Lord your God, the One who calls you by name.

April 1, 2020. Our prayer for our loved one today:

Isaiah 45:2-3 NLT [2] This is what the LORD says: "I will go before you, "my child", and level the mountains. I will smash down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron[3] And I will give you treasures hidden in the darkness- secret riches. I will do this so you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, the one who calls you by name.

Lord, we come before you today facing mountains. There is a wilderness in front of us and we see no way out. So we look to your word and your promises to give us strength and encouragement. And you are the God who can make a way through that wilderness. Lord, we believe that you are going before [our loved one] and that you are leveling mountains for [him/her]. Lord, you are smashing down gates of bronze and cutting through bars of iron, to make a path for [our loved one]. Lord, we know that you have amazing treasure in store for [our loved one]. Lord, we believe this will be so miraculous that there will be no denying you Lord, that [our loved one] will KNOW that you are the Lord, who calls [our loved one] by name. Lord, we trust your promises and believe this today. In your son's precious name we pray! Amen

He Will Bring You Through

Fire…

The killing off.

The cleansing.

The refining.

The clearing out for all that’s new.

You might be in the middle of the fire today. The burning.

Know...

He will bring us through the fire. And just like in nature, after the fire will come abundance. Beauty from ashes.

For us...

For our loved one...

March 31, 2020 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Psalm 66:12 NLT [12] We went through fire and flood, but you brought us to a place of great abundance.

Lord, we come before you this today with expectation and hope in our hearts. We thank you that you are real and your promises are true. Lord, we believe that you go before us, you are with us and you go behind us. We are in the middle of the flood and the fire. Lord, [our loved one] is in the middle of the flood and fire. But you promise that you will bring [our loved one] through these trying times. Lord, we thank you! We thank you that one day [our loved one] will walk out of the fire and into a place of great abundance. That out of the ashes of our lives, something truly beautiful will be reborn. We trust you and today we are going to choose to walk in that hope! In Jesus precious name we pray. Amen

I Am With You

“I am with you my child, as you sit up at night, waiting for the phone call.” “I am with you at the family gathering when she’s not there.” “I am with you at the hospital while you wait to hear if he’s alive or dead.” “I am with you when you in the middle of the argument you are having with those you love.”

”And I am with you today, in the middle of this crisis.”

“I will sustain you.”

“I battling for you.”

“I will crush those who oppress you.”

“My faithfulness and my loyal love always accompanies you.”

You are not alone.

Your loved one is not alone.

March 29, 2020 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Psalm 89:20-24, 26 I have found my servant David. I anointed him with my holy oil. My hand will sustain him—yes, my arm will strengthen him! No enemy will oppress him; no wicked person will make him suffer. I will crush all his foes in front of him. I will strike down all those who hate him. My faithfulness and my loyal love will be with him. He will be strengthened by my name. He will cry out to me:“You are my father, my God, the rock of my salvation.”

Father God, we give thanks today that you have found your precious child, [our loved one]. Thank you that in your perfect timing you will anoint [our loved one] with your holy oil. Thank you that your hand sustains [him/her] and that your arms strengthen [him/her]. We pray that no enemy will oppress [our loved one] and that no wicked person will ever make [our loved one] suffer. Lord, crush down all of [our loved one’s] foes and strike down anyone who is against [our loved one]. Thank you, for comforting us with the knowledge that your faithfulness and your loyal love is always with [our loved one] and that [he/she] will be strengthened by your name. Lord we look forward to the day when [our loved one] will cry out to you "Abba, Father, my God, the rock of my salvation." Lord, we pray these things with confidence and assurance today in Jesus precious name! Amen!

Rest for Our Soul

When you are in a constant battle, often rest alludes you. If you aren't physically taking care of something or someone, you are mentally figuring out the next step, the next strategic plan in the battle.

And our loved ones are in the battle of their lives as well.

Still trying to fight it in their own strength, yet with no strength left.

Friends, the Lord says STOP. He says "let me take all of those burdens from you. If you just let go and learn from me, you will find rest for your weary, tired souls."

We don't need to do any of this alone.

He is stronger and mightier and far more capable of doing the work for us, if we simply surrender.

And rest.

March 28, 2019 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Matthew 11:28-30 NIV [28] “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. [29] Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. [30] For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Lord, our hearts are heavy today. Heavy for the lost. Heavy for the hurting. And heavy with our own pain. But Lord, we know there is only one way to release the pain and that is to come to you! Lord, we pray that (our loved one) would come to you today. Lord, (he/she) is weary, (he/she) is burdened. Lord provide a place of rest for (our loved one's) soul. Lord, we pray that (our loved one) would lay (his/her) burdens at your feet today, surrendering them all to you! Lord, we ask that you would lift (his/her) heavy yoke and replace it with the freedom that comes from choosing to live for You! We ask this in your son's precious name! Amen!

He Answers

This season we are in may look like a tragedy to you.

Road blocks.

Dead ends.

One difficult situation after another.

Yet, we don't know the thoughts that go through our loved ones heads.

We can't hear their hearts cry.

But God does. He hears them and He sees their tears.

And He will be faithful to rescue them when they call out to Him. We never know when that moment will come. It may come in the middle of the most unlikely circumstances.

And it is why we can never lose hope.

March 27, 2020 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Psalm 3:3-5,8 NIV [3] But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. [4] I call out to the Lord, and he answers me from his holy mountain. [5] I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me. [8] From the Lord comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people.

Oh Lord, thank you that you are a God who loves us and cares for us and loves our children even more than we do. Lord, we ask today that you be a shield around (our loved one). Lord, lift (our loved one's) head high today. Lord, when (our loved one) calls out to you we pray that you answer (him/her) from your Holy Mountain! Lord, when (our loved one) lies down to sleep let (him/her) awake anew because You sustain (him/her). Lord from YOU comes deliverance for (our loved one). Lord, may your blessings be on (him/her) today. We pray this in your Son's precious name! Amen.

God is Love

You may be in a place this morning where you are struggling with your faith.

Struggling to believe God is who he says he is because you have been wounded, broken by someone you loved.

Or maybe for some reason you feel shamed or condemned. And I want to whisper in your ear this morning....

That you are loved!

You are loved my friend.

So much so that God gave His son up for you. And that dark world you are living in can be completely consumed with the light of His love by simply turning to Him and saying "yes Lord." Yes.

December 11, 2019 Our prayer for our loved one today:

John 3:16-18A,21 NIV [16] For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life[17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him[18] Whoever believes in him is not condemned [21] whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.

Heavenly Father....we are in awe of you today! Because You loved [our loved one] so much that You gave your one and only Son, so that when [our loved one] calls to him [he/she] will move from death to life. For God, we know that you did not send your Son into the world to condemn [our loved one], but to save [him/her] through You! Lord, we know that [our loved one] is not condemned and that when [our loved one] choses to live by the truth, the truth will come into the light so that it may be seen plainly by [our loved one] so that what [our loved one] has done has been done in the sight of God. Lord, we praise you and thank you that these things will come to pass in your perfect timing and look forward to eternity with [our loved one]! In Jesus Name we pray! Amen

His Word Remains

While things around us are rapidly changing, God’s word never changes.

Now, more than ever, I am leaning in on God’s promises.

He redeems our lives from the pit...

He heals All of our diseases...

He crowns us with love and compassion...

He renews us!

And what is the requirement to experience all of these things in their fullness?

Surrender.

March 24, 2020 Our Prayer for Our Loved One Today: Psalm 103:2-5 NIV [2] Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits--- [3] who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, [4] who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, [5] who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Lord, we come before this beautiful day with praise and thanksgiving in our hearts. Lord, we meditate on all of Your wonderful ways and don't forget any of Your benefits. Lord, we come before You on behalf of (our loved one) as we are confident that Your son died on the cross to forgive all of (our loved one's) sins and to heal (our loved one) completely. I ask today that you redeem (our loved one) from the pit that (he/she) is in and crown (our loved one) with Your perfect love and compassion. Lord we believe that the day will come when the only way (our loved one) will be satisfied is by Your love and (he/she) will come to desire all the good that comes from You. We ask today that You renew (our loved one) with strength like an eagle. Lord, we thank you with the assurance today that these things will come to pass. In Jesus Holy name we pray! Amen

Choose Life!

In this session we are walking through sorting out what is truth and what isn’t can be difficult.

Fear and uncertainty are all around us.

And we have a choice moment by moment about what we are going to believe.

Will we believe the truth of God's overflowing, infinite love and care for us?

Will we walk in the abundance of His mercy and forgiveness?

Will we choose FREEDOM?

Will we choose LIFE?

March 24, 2020 Our prayer for our loved one today: Deuteronomy 30:19-20 NIV [19] This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live [20] and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life...

Lord, we come before you today grateful because YOU have the words of eternal life. Lord, today you have set before each of us a choice. Lord, you have set before (our loved one) the choice of life or death, blessings or curses. Lord, we pray that (our loved one) would CHOSE LIFE, so that (he/she) and (his/her) entire family would LIVE, Lord...really live!! We pray that (our loved one) would love You, would listen to your voice and would hold fast to you! For in YOU there is LIFE!!! Lord, we believe this and agree with your word today. We ask these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen!
