He Heals the Shattered Soul

Sometimes we get so caught up in the trite sayings of "christianease." Like "all things work for good." And "Let go and let God." or "everything happens for a reason." I abhor those phrases.

Tell the mama who lost her son last night that all things work for good.

Tell the daddy who’s 18 year old daughter is shooting heroin to “let go.”

When we live with a loved one who is on a self-destructive path, we often live in the shadow of death and despair. To be clear, death and disease and drugs and pain and grief....they were NOT part of God's plan.

He didn't cause them. He didn't want this for His people. He wanted us to live a perfect life with Him at the center. In the Greek text the word for broken-hearted is translated shattered soul.

Thankfully His promise is to heal the shattered soul. And He promises that while horrible things happen to us in this world He is able to take the ashes of grief and mourning and turn them into the beauty of joy and praise, comfort and hope.

April 2, 2020 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Isaiah 61:1-3 NIV [1] The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, [2] to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and ...to comfort all who mourn, [3] and provide for those who grieve in Zion---to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.

Abba daddy, we humbly come before You ready to receive the Good News that You have for us. We thank You that Your desire is to bind up the brokenhearted and to FREE (our loved one) and to release each of us from the darkness that exists around us. Lord, we proclaim Your favor over our life and (our loved one's) life and we receive the gift of Your comfort as we weep for (our loved one). Lord we accept Your comfort as we grieve. We rejoice in the coming day when you will bestow on us and on (our loved one) a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning and a garment of praise instead of despair, because that is Your perfect plan for us. And we exalt the day when (our loved one) will be called an oak of righteousness and (he/she) will stand before You whole and healed in ALL of (his/her) slender and glory. Lord, we receive today Your healing and Your faithful promises for our lives. In Jesus precious name we pray. Amen.

I Will Go Before You

I will go before you my child....and make sure you have a place to sleep tonight.

I will go before you my child....and provide an angel to give you the hug that you so badly need.

I will go before you my child...and give you the food you need for lunch today.

I will go before you my child...and protect you from that person that meant to harm you.

I will go before you my child...and open the door for you to get the help you need.

I will go before you my sweet child and clear a path so wide that you will know that I am the Lord your God, the One who calls you by name.

April 1, 2020. Our prayer for our loved one today:

Isaiah 45:2-3 NLT [2] This is what the LORD says: "I will go before you, "my child", and level the mountains. I will smash down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron[3] And I will give you treasures hidden in the darkness- secret riches. I will do this so you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, the one who calls you by name.

Lord, we come before you today facing mountains. There is a wilderness in front of us and we see no way out. So we look to your word and your promises to give us strength and encouragement. And you are the God who can make a way through that wilderness. Lord, we believe that you are going before [our loved one] and that you are leveling mountains for [him/her]. Lord, you are smashing down gates of bronze and cutting through bars of iron, to make a path for [our loved one]. Lord, we know that you have amazing treasure in store for [our loved one]. Lord, we believe this will be so miraculous that there will be no denying you Lord, that [our loved one] will KNOW that you are the Lord, who calls [our loved one] by name. Lord, we trust your promises and believe this today. In your son's precious name we pray! Amen

He Will Bring You Through

Fire…

The killing off.

The cleansing.

The refining.

The clearing out for all that’s new.

You might be in the middle of the fire today. The burning.

Know...

He will bring us through the fire. And just like in nature, after the fire will come abundance. Beauty from ashes.

For us...

For our loved one...

March 31, 2020 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Psalm 66:12 NLT [12] We went through fire and flood, but you brought us to a place of great abundance.

Lord, we come before you this today with expectation and hope in our hearts. We thank you that you are real and your promises are true. Lord, we believe that you go before us, you are with us and you go behind us. We are in the middle of the flood and the fire. Lord, [our loved one] is in the middle of the flood and fire. But you promise that you will bring [our loved one] through these trying times. Lord, we thank you! We thank you that one day [our loved one] will walk out of the fire and into a place of great abundance. That out of the ashes of our lives, something truly beautiful will be reborn. We trust you and today we are going to choose to walk in that hope! In Jesus precious name we pray. Amen

I Am With You

“I am with you my child, as you sit up at night, waiting for the phone call.” “I am with you at the family gathering when she’s not there.” “I am with you at the hospital while you wait to hear if he’s alive or dead.” “I am with you when you in the middle of the argument you are having with those you love.”

”And I am with you today, in the middle of this crisis.”

“I will sustain you.”

“I battling for you.”

“I will crush those who oppress you.”

“My faithfulness and my loyal love always accompanies you.”

You are not alone.

Your loved one is not alone.

March 29, 2020 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Psalm 89:20-24, 26 I have found my servant David. I anointed him with my holy oil. My hand will sustain him—yes, my arm will strengthen him! No enemy will oppress him; no wicked person will make him suffer. I will crush all his foes in front of him. I will strike down all those who hate him. My faithfulness and my loyal love will be with him. He will be strengthened by my name. He will cry out to me:“You are my father, my God, the rock of my salvation.”

Father God, we give thanks today that you have found your precious child, [our loved one]. Thank you that in your perfect timing you will anoint [our loved one] with your holy oil. Thank you that your hand sustains [him/her] and that your arms strengthen [him/her]. We pray that no enemy will oppress [our loved one] and that no wicked person will ever make [our loved one] suffer. Lord, crush down all of [our loved one’s] foes and strike down anyone who is against [our loved one]. Thank you, for comforting us with the knowledge that your faithfulness and your loyal love is always with [our loved one] and that [he/she] will be strengthened by your name. Lord we look forward to the day when [our loved one] will cry out to you "Abba, Father, my God, the rock of my salvation." Lord, we pray these things with confidence and assurance today in Jesus precious name! Amen!

Rest for Our Soul

When you are in a constant battle, often rest alludes you. If you aren't physically taking care of something or someone, you are mentally figuring out the next step, the next strategic plan in the battle.

And our loved ones are in the battle of their lives as well.

Still trying to fight it in their own strength, yet with no strength left.

Friends, the Lord says STOP. He says "let me take all of those burdens from you. If you just let go and learn from me, you will find rest for your weary, tired souls."

We don't need to do any of this alone.

He is stronger and mightier and far more capable of doing the work for us, if we simply surrender.

And rest.

March 28, 2019 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Matthew 11:28-30 NIV [28] “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. [29] Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. [30] For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Lord, our hearts are heavy today. Heavy for the lost. Heavy for the hurting. And heavy with our own pain. But Lord, we know there is only one way to release the pain and that is to come to you! Lord, we pray that (our loved one) would come to you today. Lord, (he/she) is weary, (he/she) is burdened. Lord provide a place of rest for (our loved one's) soul. Lord, we pray that (our loved one) would lay (his/her) burdens at your feet today, surrendering them all to you! Lord, we ask that you would lift (his/her) heavy yoke and replace it with the freedom that comes from choosing to live for You! We ask this in your son's precious name! Amen!

He Answers

This season we are in may look like a tragedy to you.

Road blocks.

Dead ends.

One difficult situation after another.

Yet, we don't know the thoughts that go through our loved ones heads.

We can't hear their hearts cry.

But God does. He hears them and He sees their tears.

And He will be faithful to rescue them when they call out to Him. We never know when that moment will come. It may come in the middle of the most unlikely circumstances.

And it is why we can never lose hope.

March 27, 2020 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Psalm 3:3-5,8 NIV [3] But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. [4] I call out to the Lord, and he answers me from his holy mountain. [5] I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me. [8] From the Lord comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people.

Oh Lord, thank you that you are a God who loves us and cares for us and loves our children even more than we do. Lord, we ask today that you be a shield around (our loved one). Lord, lift (our loved one's) head high today. Lord, when (our loved one) calls out to you we pray that you answer (him/her) from your Holy Mountain! Lord, when (our loved one) lies down to sleep let (him/her) awake anew because You sustain (him/her). Lord from YOU comes deliverance for (our loved one). Lord, may your blessings be on (him/her) today. We pray this in your Son's precious name! Amen.

God is Love

You may be in a place this morning where you are struggling with your faith.

Struggling to believe God is who he says he is because you have been wounded, broken by someone you loved.

Or maybe for some reason you feel shamed or condemned. And I want to whisper in your ear this morning....

That you are loved!

You are loved my friend.

So much so that God gave His son up for you. And that dark world you are living in can be completely consumed with the light of His love by simply turning to Him and saying "yes Lord." Yes.

December 11, 2019 Our prayer for our loved one today:

John 3:16-18A,21 NIV [16] For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life[17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him[18] Whoever believes in him is not condemned [21] whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.

Heavenly Father....we are in awe of you today! Because You loved [our loved one] so much that You gave your one and only Son, so that when [our loved one] calls to him [he/she] will move from death to life. For God, we know that you did not send your Son into the world to condemn [our loved one], but to save [him/her] through You! Lord, we know that [our loved one] is not condemned and that when [our loved one] choses to live by the truth, the truth will come into the light so that it may be seen plainly by [our loved one] so that what [our loved one] has done has been done in the sight of God. Lord, we praise you and thank you that these things will come to pass in your perfect timing and look forward to eternity with [our loved one]! In Jesus Name we pray! Amen

His Word Remains

While things around us are rapidly changing, God’s word never changes.

Now, more than ever, I am leaning in on God’s promises.

He redeems our lives from the pit...

He heals All of our diseases...

He crowns us with love and compassion...

He renews us!

And what is the requirement to experience all of these things in their fullness?

Surrender.

March 24, 2020 Our Prayer for Our Loved One Today: Psalm 103:2-5 NIV [2] Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits--- [3] who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, [4] who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, [5] who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Lord, we come before this beautiful day with praise and thanksgiving in our hearts. Lord, we meditate on all of Your wonderful ways and don't forget any of Your benefits. Lord, we come before You on behalf of (our loved one) as we are confident that Your son died on the cross to forgive all of (our loved one's) sins and to heal (our loved one) completely. I ask today that you redeem (our loved one) from the pit that (he/she) is in and crown (our loved one) with Your perfect love and compassion. Lord we believe that the day will come when the only way (our loved one) will be satisfied is by Your love and (he/she) will come to desire all the good that comes from You. We ask today that You renew (our loved one) with strength like an eagle. Lord, we thank you with the assurance today that these things will come to pass. In Jesus Holy name we pray! Amen

Choose Life!

In this session we are walking through sorting out what is truth and what isn’t can be difficult.

Fear and uncertainty are all around us.

And we have a choice moment by moment about what we are going to believe.

Will we believe the truth of God's overflowing, infinite love and care for us?

Will we walk in the abundance of His mercy and forgiveness?

Will we choose FREEDOM?

Will we choose LIFE?

March 24, 2020 Our prayer for our loved one today: Deuteronomy 30:19-20 NIV [19] This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live [20] and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life...

Lord, we come before you today grateful because YOU have the words of eternal life. Lord, today you have set before each of us a choice. Whispered Prayers

I believe our simplest prayers, whispered from the depths of our souls are the ones God treasures the most.

The ones that come from those desperate places...

The ones that are so painful we can only groan them...

Lord...heal us.

Lord...rescue us.

Lord...save us.

March 23, 2020 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Jeremiah 17:14 GNT [14] LORD, heal me and I will be completely well; rescue me and I will be perfectly safe. You are the one I praise!

Lord, we come before you today knowing that you have the power to heal any sickness, rescue us from our brokenness and break any stronghold. Lord our prayer is simple today...heal (our loved one) so (he/she) can be completely well. Rescue (our loved one) so (he/she) will be perfectly safe. And Lord may the praise of your name one day be on (our loved one's) lips. Lord trust in your perfect plan and believe you will work all things together in your perfect timing. We pray this in your Son's precious name. Amen.

Alone, Yet Not Alone

A sweet young man, facing forever in prison.

A beautiful mama of littles, laying in a hospital bed.

A husband, lost in a world off darkness and pain.

And a mother, worried about where her child is sleeping tonight.

A father worried about how he is going to pay rent.

A spouse on high alert because everything is in chaos for him.

Alone, yet not alone.

Because He is next to them, holding them, carrying them. Even when they don’t know it. Even when they are unaware. He is there. Making paths straight. Humbling the proud. Bringing light to the darkness.

He is there. He is with them in their destruction, their sorrow, their wounding. Whispering in their ear “I am with you. I love you.”

And He is with you today as well. Wrapping you up in His love, as you wait.

We are never alone.

March 22, 2020 Our Prayer for Our Loved One today:

Luke 3:4-6 TPT [4] This was to fulfill what was written in the book of the prophet Isaiah: "Listen! You will hear a thunderous voice in the lonely wilderness telling you to wake up and get your heart ready for the coming of the Lord Jehovah. Every twisted thing in your lives must be made straight. [5-6] Every dark way must be brought to the light. Wrongs righted. Injustices removed. Every heart of pride will be humbled low before him. Every deception will be exposed and replaced by the truth so that everyone everywhere will be ready to see the Life of God!"

Abba Father, we thank you this morning that you are a God who fulfills your promises to us. Lord, your word never leaves us guessing. Thank you that each one of us, in your perfect timing, will hear that thunderous voice declaring your love for us. Lord we pray today that [our loved one], in the middle of the lonely wilderness, will hear you telling [him/her] to wake up, to get [his/her] heart ready for you. Lord, thank you that every twisted idea in [our loved one’s] life will be made straight. Thank you that everything hidden in the dark will be brought into the light. Thank you that [our loved one’s] wrongs will be righted and that any injustices committed by [him/her] or committed against [him/her] will be removed. Thank you that if there is pride or deception it will be exposed and that you will replace it with your truth! Thank you that [our loved one] will see the life God has for [him/her]. Lord we trust that even now you are clearing a path for this to happen! We believe this because you have saiid it will be. We claim this over [our loved one’s] life today. In his precious name we pray! Amen.

He Makes Us Whole

The valley of the shadow…

Difficult times for all of us right now.

Yet, as followers of Christ, we believe that this Earth isn't our final stopping point. And we long for the day when wholeness comes to each one of us.

However these words say that we don't have to wait for that transformation. It can happen right here, right now.

Through His power.

Are we waiting to die to live?

That is not his plan for us. His plan is that he can make us beautiful and whole today.

I have experienced this. Through the brokenness I am not the same person. In the shattering, I have been remade. I have been “put together” as I should be.

And I will not stop praying for this to happen to each of us today.

March 21, 2020  Our prayer for our loved one today:

Philippians 3:20-21 MSG [20-21] But there's far more to life for us. We're citizens of high heaven! We're waiting the arrival of the Savior, the Master, Jesus Christ, who will transform our earthy bodies into glorious bodies like his own. He'll make us beautiful and whole with the same powerful skill by which he is putting everything as it should be.

Abba Father....You are a good God. A God who hears us and who delights in us. A God who longs to give us our hearts cry. Lord today agree in prayer that there is so much more to life for us then our minds can comprehend. And so much more life in store for [our loved one] because you have called [him/her] a citizen of heaven! Lord, through the power of Jesus Christ, we believe that you will transform [our loved one] from the image [he/she] is right now, into your glorious likeness. We believe that you will make [our loved one] beautiful and whole by the powerful skill you posses to align everything as it should be. You are in the business of transformation and we believe that even now this transformation is taking place in each of us who whisper Your name. We call this into being through prayer in Your son's precious name. Amen!

I Will Not Be Afraid

Sometimes we get so caught up in the ugly, that we don't see our loved ones the way God sees them.

But they are precious. They are a gift. They are beautiful in hiss eyes.

And God sent His own child to be sacrificed so that our loved ones could be saved. So that they can experience abundant life on this Earth and eternally.

Thanking God for that promise today and praying this will be the day our loved ones will whisper "save me."

March 20, 2020 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Isaiah 12:2-5 NLT
[2] See, God has come to save me. I will trust in him and not be afraid. The LORD GOD is my strength and my song; he has given me victory." [3] With joy you will drink deeply from the fountain of salvation! [4] In that wonderful day you will sing: "Thank the LORD! Praise his name! Tell the nations what he has done. Let them know how mighty he is! [5] Sing to the LORD, for he has done wonderful things. Make known his praise around the world.

Sweet Heavenly Father, we are so grateful to sit at your feet today and praise you and thank you for ALL the good you give us so graciously and we thank you for the gift of (our loved one). Lord, we believe that Your desire, your very heart is to save (our loved one)! Lord, we know that (he/she)is afraid, that (he/she) is struggling today. We pray that (he/she) would trust You and would not be afraid to surrender (his/her) everything to you today! Lord, You are our strength and our song and in You (our loved one) will have VICTORY!. Lord, may (our loved one) drink deeply from the fountain of your saving power! We believe and trust that in that wonderful day (our loved one) will sing "Thank you Lord!" And (he/she)) would make known to others all the wonderful things that You have done in (his/her) life. We believe and do not doubt! We trust in your promises today and we pray all of these things in your might name! Amen!

Here Am I

As we struggle through each day, God is right there, wanting to wrap his arms around us and tell us how much he loves us and that he is fighting for us and our loved ones.

That is the promise.

The promise of breakthrough! The promise of healing! The promise of guidance, of meeting our needs, of strengthening us and of triumph and joy! Oh how we all long for those things in our lives. How we long for those things in our loved one’s life.

So today as you pray this prayer, take heart in this…

When you call...

He will answer;

When you cry for help...

He will say: Here am I.

March 19, 2020 Our Prayer for our Loved One today:

Isaiah 58:8-9,11,14 NIV [8] Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard[9] Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I[11] The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs and will strengthen your frame....14] then you will find your joy in the Lord, and I will cause you to ride in triumph!

Lord, we thank you that you are the same God yesterday, today and forever. Lord, we thank you for your Word and that we can trust the promises that are written to us. Lord, we believe that one day soon, You will reveal yourself to [our loved one] and on that day [our loved one's] light will break forth like the dawn and [his/her] healing will quickly appear! On that day Your righteousness will go before [our loved one] and Your glory will be [his/her] rear guard. That day [our loved one] will call to You and You will answer [him/her]. [He/she] will cry for help and You will say "here I am!" Then You will guide [our loved one] and will satisfy [his/her] needs and will strengthen [him/her]. One that day [our loved one] will find JOY in You, Lord and [he/she] will finally triumph and gain VICTORY in YOU! Lord, we look forward to that day and pray with confidence that it will come in your perfect timing. We pray this in your Son's precious name! Amen.

I

Here is the Road; Walk in It

When we cry for help...

He will answer us.

When we go through hard times...

He is right there with us.

When we wander and are lost...

He will say, “Here is the road, follow it” and guide us back to him. THAT IS HOPE.

March 18, 2020 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Isaiah 30:19-21 19 You people who live in Jerusalem will not weep any more. The Lord is compassionate, and when you cry to him for help, he will answer you. 20 The Lord will make you go through hard times, but he himself will be there to teach you, and you will not have to search for him any more. 21 If you wander off the road to the right or the left, you will hear his voice behind you saying, “Here is the road. Follow it.”

Oh Heavenly Father, fill our lungs with your breath today. Help us to fix our eyes on you alone. We trust your word when it says that your people will weep no more. Abba daddy, comfort us. Dry our tears. Because we know that you are a compassionate God and when [our loved one] cries to you for help you will answer [him/her]. We know that you have allowed [our loved one] to go through these hard times so that [he/she] would find the end of [himself/herself] and reach out to you. We trust that you will be with [him/her] to teach [him/her] and that [our loved one] will not have to search for you any more. We ask that as [our loved one] wanders off of the road you desire to have [him/her] on, you would walk with [him/her]. Lord, as a shepherd guides his sheep, we pray that [our loved one] would hear Your voice gently calling to [him/her] "here is the road, follow it" and [he/she] would chose the path of life. We pray this in your Son's holy name. Amen

He Will Answer

He hears you…

He hears the hurting and wounded crying out, desperate to be saved from the darkness that enfolds them.

He hears the cries of our loved one's struggling, dying and literally one whisper away from being saved, yet unable to say the words.

And in these verses we hear the story of redemption.

Of a rebellious, stubborn, unfaithful man who was running from God.

In his struggle, in the depth of his despair, he finally cried out and said “Lord, save me.”

And he was delivered.

When things seem hopeless, when they can’t always cry out on their own behalf, we have one line of defense that is ALWAYS effective...

It is our prayers.

And God hears you. He hears your pain-filed pleas. And when you call He will answer.

March 17, 2020 Our prayer for our loved one today: Jonah 2:2,6-7,9 NIV [2] He said: “In my distress I called to the Lord, and he answered me. From deep in the realm of the dead I called for help, and you listened to my cry[6] ...But you, Lord my God, brought my life up from the pit[7] “When my life was ebbing away, I remembered you, Lord, and my prayer rose to you, to your holy temple[9] But I, with shouts of grateful praise, will sacrifice to you. What I have vowed I will make good. I will say, ‘Salvation comes from the Lord.’ ”

Father, we join you today, this moment, interceding on behalf of [our loved one]. Lord, [he/she] is sitting in darkness. [He/she] is in a pit that [he/she] can't see [his/her] way out of. Lord, we pray that in [his/her] distress [our loved one] would cry out to you and you will answer [him/her]. We agree that you alone can bring [his/her] life out of the hole [his/her] is in. As [our loved one's] life is ebbing away I pray that [our loved one] would remember you Lord and that a prayer would rise from [his/her] lips to your Holy temple. I believe that soon shouts of grateful praise will come from [our loved one’s] lips and [he/she] will cry "Salvation comes from the Lord!" Lord, I trust your word to be truth and I wait in excited anticipation for these things to come to pass. We pray this in Jesus name today! Amen

Unmovable

One of the things I love about our home is the trees in our yard. We have two different kinds of very mature trees. One is an ash tree, which has a massive root system and those roots go down deep into the soul and tend to spread out very wide. The other tree that we have is the pine tree. Pine trees don’t have very deep roots, therefore they are more susceptible to being uprooted by the elements.

Not long ago we had a tremendous storm with extremely high winds. In the middle of the storm we heard loud cracks and bangs. Sure enough, one of the old pine trees in our back yard toppled over.

But the ash trees…

The trees with the deep roots…

They were unmovable.

Praying today that our loved one would become like that ash tree. That the small, positive seeds of faith would begin to take root. And they would grow and go deep into the soil of their hearts. And that one day nothing, not anything would be able to uproot their lives.

March 15, 2020 Our prayer for our Loved One today:

Jeremiah 17:7-8 TLB [7] But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and has made the Lord his hope and confidence[8] He is like a tree planted along a riverbank, with its roots reaching deep into the water-a tree not bothered by the heat nor worried by long months of drought. Its leaves stay green, and it goes right on producing all its luscious fruit.

Father God, thank you for Your word and that we can fully trust it. Thank you that You give us visions and pictures of what will come to be. Lord, today I will picture [our loved one] as You picture [him/her]. Lord we pray with our whole being that [our loved one] will come to trust in You and that [he/she] will find [his/her] hope and confidence in You alone. Lord we pray that [he/she] will become like a tree planted, with [his/her] roots reaching deep in Your truth and Your strength. We pray that [he/she] will become so solid and strong that nothing will succeed in coming against [him/her]. Lord, we believe that you have a calling on [our loved one's] life that you have a special plan and purpose for [him/her]. Lord we trust in that plan today. We wait in humble anticipation for it to come to pass. We pray these things today in Your Son's precious name. Amen

Light Shines in the Darkness

No doubt yesterday was difficult for you.

It may have felt as if you were completely alone.

Or maybe you were surrounded by people but there was chaos and strife.

But as you were there….

So was God in the middle of it all. And even though it may have felt hard and dark…

Where there is God, there is light. And light ALWAYS shines through the darkness.

Praying today that His light would lead them home.

March 14, 2020 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Isaiah 9:2 NIV [2] The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned. Lord, you call into being things that never existed as if they did. Lord, we thank you that You can turn our children's hearts to you with a whisper. Lord, we pray today for (our loved one). Lord we believe that today, even though (our loved one) is walking in darkness (he/she) will see YOUR great light. Thank you that your light will dawn and shine down on those living in deep darkness. Lord, you are the light that will move (our loved one) from death to life. Lord we thank you in advance for this truth to come to pass. We pray this in Jesus name today! Amen.

Give Thanks

I know...

Today will be hard for so many of you...

For some... There is an empty chair at your table...

And your heart is breaking...

But in the middle of the pain...

He is there. He sees you.

In spite of it all, every one of us has something we can be grateful for. Our pain is diminished when we give thanks.

Today...I pray the Lord would fill you to overflowing with gratitude and thanksgiving.

And we pray that today His love would endure and sustains our loved one.

March 13, 2020 Our prayer for our Loved One today:

Psalm 136:1 NIV [1] Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever. Lord, we give thanks to you today. We give thanks because you are always good. Lord, we give thanks for (our loved one) today. We pray that (our loved one) would have a love encounter with you today. We pray that (he/she) would feel your love as you pursue (him/her) and we pray that (our loved one) would be sustained by that love. We thank you that your love for (our loved one) endures forever. We praise you for this promise on this Thanksgiving Day. We pray this prayer in your son’s precious name. Amen. Copyright @ 2014 Praying Our Loved One Home

A Heart to Know Him

Right now...

Right this minute...

God is working behind the scenes to make this happen. We don't know how and we don't know when. But, because of this precious promise we can be assured that there will be a time...

His perfect time, when this WILL happen. When He WILL give them a heart to know Him. And they WILL become His people. And they WILL return to Him with all of their heart.

Today I will choose to walk in faith and joy because I believe this truth.

March 12, 2020 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Jeremiah 24:7 NIV [7] I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the Lord. They will be my people, and I will be their God, for they will return to me with all their heart. Abba father, we come before you today humble and contrite. Our desires are so simple. Life for us. Life for our loved ones. Lord we pray today that you would give (our loved one) a heart to know You. Lord we pray that (he/she) would acknowledge that You are (his/her) Lord. We pray that (our loved one) would desire a relationship with you and desire for You to be (his/her) God. We thank you for the promise that (our loved one) will return to You with all (his/her) heart. We believe these words of truth and we choose to walk in faith today. In Jesus precious name we pray, Amen.
