The God of U-Turns

Our God is the God of U-turns.  He can take the dead and make them alive.  He can take a raging sea and make it dry land.  He can take a few loaves of bread and some fish and turn it into a feast for thousands.

He has taken this girl, who was lost and broken and wretched and made her a new creation....

He can do the same for you....

He can do the same for your loved one....

February 5, 2019  Our prayer for our loved one today:

Psalm 30:2-3,11-12 NIV [2] Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me. [3] You, Lord, brought me up from the realm of the dead; you spared me from going down to the pit. [11] You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, [12] that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent. Lord my God, I will praise you forever.

Father God, we come to you today with confidence in our heart that You are a God that hears our prayers and answers them.  Lord, we know that You are the same God yesterday, today and always.   A  God with the power to transform.  Lord, we pray that today (our loved one) would call on you for help and that you will heal (him/her).  We ask that you Lord, will bring (our loved one) up from the realm of the dead, that You will spare (him/her) from going down to the pit.  Lord, we believe today that you will turn (our loved ones) wailing into dancing; that you will remove (his/her) sackcloth and clothe (our loved one) with joy that (his/her) heart will sing Your praises and never be silent.  Lord, that (he/she) will praise you forever.  Lord,, we believe that this vision will be fulfilled in your perfect timing and we pray these things in Your Son's precious name.  Amen

He is Faithful

Temptations are all around us.  Choosing the right path, or staying on it is not an easy task.

These verses say that God always provides a way out of temptation.  Whether it's through an understanding glance, a hug, a smile, a phone call that comes just at the right time or a friend who talks us off the ledge, God is there.

I pray today that our loved ones would heed God's nudging.  That they would be aware enough to see the way of escape that God puts in front of them.   That they would see God's power and whisper "save me!"

February 4, 2019  Our prayer for our loved one today

1 Corinthians 10:13 But remember this—the wrong desires that come into your life aren’t anything new and different. Many others have faced exactly the same problems before you. And no temptation is irresistible. You can trust God to keep the temptation from becoming so strong that you can’t stand up against it, for he has promised this and will do what he says. He will show you how to escape temptation’s power so that you can bear up patiently against it.

Lord God, our hearts are burdened for our children.  Lord, to whom can we go but You.  You hear our broken cries.  Lord, we pray today on behalf of (our loved one).  Lord, we know that the wrong desires that have come into (our loved one’s) life aren't anything new and different to you.  We know that others have faced and conquered these very same problems.  And NO temptation that could come before (our loved one) is irresistible.  Lord, we pray that (our loved one) would trust You when (his/her) temptation is so strong that (he/she) feels that (he/she) can't stand up against it.  Lord, we know that your promises are true and you promise that you will provide (our loved one) a way to escape temptations power and bear up against it if (he/she) simply calls out to you.  Lord, we pray that (our loved one) would whisper the words "help me Jesus" today.  We pray this in your son's holy name.  Amen!

Come Into the Light

Freedom isn't a state of our physical circumstances, it's a condition of our heart and our spirit. We can be physically free, but in total bondage. And we can be in physical chains and experience total freedom.

No matter what is going on around us, we can walk in perfect peace.

On this Sunday I pray that we all step into the freedom that is ours when we fully rely on and trust the One who is truly in control.

When we surrender....we become free.

February 3, 2019 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Isaiah 49:9 NLT [9] I will say to the prisoners, 'Come out in freedom,' and to those in darkness, 'Come into the light.'

Abba daddy, we come before you today because we know that you are our living water, our source of life and hope. That when all else feels like it's crumbling around us, you are holding us together. Lord, thank you that you desire freedom! Freedom for any of us who are sitting in the darkness today. Lord, I pray that you would plant a seed of desire in (our loved one's) heart today for freedom Lord, as (he/she) lives in the darkness. And we pray today that you will whisper into (our loved one's) heart "come into the light." Lord, we pray that today will be the day that (our loved one) would make that decision to step into the freedom of your light. Lord, we believe that you are at work, in our lives, in our loved one's life. Today we choose to trust you completely, knowing that you desire restoration for all of us. We pray these words today in your Son's precious name. Amen.

You Are Not Forgotten

I know....

You are feeling lost, alone and forgotten by God today.

You are wondering where He is...

You feel hopeless...

But He has a word for you, for me, for our loved ones...

A promise....

Not one...

Not one of his children...

Is forgotten.

He is fighting for you right now...

And He is fighting for your loved one right now.

That is hope.

February 2, 2019 Our prayer for our Loved One today:

Isaiah 49:15-16,25-26 GNT [15] So the LORD answers, "I will never forget you[16] Jerusalem, I can never forget you! I have written your name on the palms of my hands[25] The LORD replies, "I will fight against whoever fights you, and I will rescue your children[26] Then all people will know that I am the LORD, the one who saves you and sets you free. They will know that I am Israel's powerful God."

Father God, we come before you today with heavy hearts, feeling lost, feeling alone, feeling like the forgotten ones because we love the forgotten ones. Lord, we look to you for comfort and peace. Thank you that your promises bring us hope. Thank you that you will never forget [our loved one]. Lord, you created [our loved one] and you have written [his/her] name on the palm of your hand. How wonderful and precious that is! Thank you that you are waging a battle for [our loved one] right now and that you will fight against whoever fights [him/her]. Lord, rescue [him/her]. Lord, rescue me. We believe in your power to defeat the enemies that oppress [our loved one]. You are the God who has the power to save [our loved one] and to set [him/her] free. We are believing you today for that powerful VICTORY!!! In your son's precious name we pray! Amen

He Restores

In the middle of the muck and the difficulties and the ugly, it's really hard to see when or how or where things are going to end.  Hard to visualize things getting better.  Hard to picture our loved one free and healthy and living in abundance.

But we have to or we will lose heart.  That is faith.

And these verses promise us that we WILL share in His glory.  And after walking through the fire...

He will restore them.

He will support them.

He will strengthen them.

And he will place them on a firm foundation.

So we can look down the road and choose to look at the future in one of 2 ways.  Either the way it is now or the way we believe God will have it be in his perfect timing.

That is the miracle of hope.

February 1, 2019  Our prayer for our loved one today:

1 Peter 5:10 NLT [10] In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.

Lord God, You are all loving, all powerful and all kind.  And in Your amazing kindness, you have called (our loved one) to share in Your eternal glory through your son Christ Jesus, who died for us.  Lord (our loved one) is suffering.  (He/She) is hurting.  Lord, we believe Your promise today that (our loved ones) suffering will end and at that glorious time You will restore, support and strengthen (our loved one).  You will place (him/her) on the firm foundation of Your love and grace and mercy.  Lord we believe this promise today.  We pray with confidence that this will come to pass in your perfect timing.  In Your Son's name we pray.  Amen

His Wounds, Your Healing

I was reading this passage this morning and what I love about it is that the words are past tense.

His wounds became your healing.

It's already been done for us. We have been healed. They have been healed.

Praying today that each of us would believe that and receive that promise.

And that we would walk in that freedom.

January 31, 2019. Our prayer for our loved one today:

1 Peter 2:21-24. This is the kind of life you've been invited into, the kind of life Christ lived. He suffered everything that came his way so you would know that it could be done, and also know how to do it, step-by-step... He suffered in silence, content to let God set things right. He used his servant body to carry our sins to the Cross so we could be rid of sin, free to live the right way. His wounds became your healing. You were lost sheep with no idea who you were or where you were going. Now you're named and kept for good by the Shepherd of your souls.

Father God, we come before you today overwhelmed, both with desperation and with hope. We thank you for all we have, knowing that everything comes from You. Lord, we thank you that you have invited all of us to step into an amazing life with you! The kind of life that you demonstrated to us. You carried our sins and you carried (our loved one's) sins in Your body on the cross. You did this so that we could be set free to live for righteousness! You did this so that through Your sacrifice (our loved one) could be completely healed. I pray this day that (our loved one) would chose LIFE and that (our loved one’s) healing to begin today. In Jesus Name....Amen!

He Delivers

Do you know that the BIble mentions the word deliver or deliverance 246 times? I find that incredible.  God our deliverer.

You see...God delivered the Israelites from Egypt.

God delivered Jonah from the belly of a wale.

God delivered Daniel from the mouths of the lions.

God delivered Shadrach, Mashach and Abednego from the fiery furnace.

God delivered David from the evils of Saul.

And God delivered his very own son into the hands of the Romans so that WE could have a forever relationship with him.

So that WE can have freedom from our captives.  So that WE can have abundant life....and so that our loved ones too, can be delivered from the oppression that entangles them.

He saves, heals and delivers!

January 30, 2019 Our prayer for our loved one today:

2 Thessalonians 3:2-5  NIV [2] And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people, for not everyone has faith. [3] But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. [4] We have confidence in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we command.  [5] May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.

Lord, we thank you and praise you that you are our Protector and our Deliverer.  Lord, that you have delivered us from death to LIFE!  Lord we pray today that (our loved one) would be delivered from the wicked and evil that surrounds them for we know that not everyone is faithful.  But Lord we know that You are faithful and we ask that you would strengthen (our loved one) today and protect (him/her) from the evil one.  Lord we have full confidence that You are with (our loved one) and that you know what you are doing and have a perfect plan for their lives!  Finally Lord, we ask that You would direct (our loved one's) heart into Your perfect love and Christ's perseverance.    We believe that through Christ's death these things have already been done!  We pray this in Jesus precious name!  Amen!

Dry Bones Come to Life

During the height of the craziness in our home we forgot. We forgot a lot of things to be honest. But mostly we forgot about the power God has given us with our words. Romans 4 says that God calls into being things that don’t exist as if they do, that he gives life to the dead. And in Romans 8 it says that WE have that same power in us.

What are we calling into existence today? Do our words build up or tear down?

Is our tongue being used to speak life or speak death over our loved ones?

Are we giving power to the enemy by verbally putting our ugly, destructive fears out there for him to play on?

Today….when we speak, let it be words of life. Let’s call those dry, dead bones to live and breathe once again!

January 29, 2019 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Ezekiel 37:4-6,14 NIV [4] Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, 'Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! [5] This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life[6] I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord. ' ” [14] I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken, and I have done it, declares the Lord. ' ”

Abba daddy, we come to you today feeling desperate and powerless. We confess that at times our words and the meditations of our hearts have been a tool of death. We know through our words and through the gift of prayer we have the power of life. Today, we call into being that which doesn’t exist as if it does. Lord, we speak healing and life over [our loved one]. We ask that you would breathe your breath into [our loved one’s] very soul. We pray that the dry, dead bones of a wounded and weary spirit would be healed in your name. We pray that you would put a new and fresh spirit in [him/her]. Fill [him/her] with the oxygen of hope Lord, bring [our loved one] back home, to the life you have claimed to be [our loved one’s]. We eagerly wait in expectation for You to show us the power you have to bring dry, dead bones back to life and we give You all of this honor and glory in your Son’s holy name we pray. Amen

You are Chosen

There have been many times on this journey, sometimes when things were at their very worst, when a well, meaning, smiling, godly woman, would lovingly pat me on the arm and say “well, you know...God works everything out for good.”

Tell that to a mama who’s loved one just went off the grid.

Tell that to a wife who just found out her loved one has graduated to heroin.

Tell that to the daddy who just watched his baby girl taken to prison in handcuffs.

Tell that to a grandma who just got a call that her child has od’d and she is now responsible for taking care of her grandchildren.

Tell that to the daughter who’s being verbally abused daily by her drugged up parent.

As well meaning as it all is, it can be pretty hard to hear sometimes.

BUT...

These words ARE in the Bible. And if you continue to read the words following those, you will see one of the most amazing promises God wrote to us.

You see...I believe my loved one was chosen, called by God. And when I lose site of that I can become wounded, defensive or hopeless.

The truth is, no matter how I feel today God does promise that because we are chosen, because our loved one is chosen (whether they’ve discovered it yet or not) we can walk in this assurance.

One day, God will work everything out for his purposes for those who love and trust in Him.

January 28, 2019 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Romans 8:28-30 NCV [28] We know that in everything God works for the good of those who love him. They are the people he called, because that was his plan. [29] God knew them before he made the world, and he chose them to be like his Son so that Jesus would be the firstborn of many brothers and sisters. [30] God planned for them to be like his Son; and those he planned to be like his Son, he also called; and those he called, he also made right with him; and those he made right, he also glorified.

Father God, thank you that you know me and that you that you knew (our loved one) before you even created the world. Wow what wonderful knowledge that is! You knew us before you even created the world! Lord, we believe today that you are working everything out for good, because we love you. Lord, we believe in our heart that you have a calling on (our loved one’s) life and we hope in that plan for (his/her) future. And Lord, you CHOSE (our loved one) to be like your son so that Jesus would have many brothers and sisters. Lord, You have planned for (our loved one) to be like your son....to be like Jesus! How awesome is that promise Lord. And for those you have promised to be like your son (which includes us all) you have called. Yes Lord! You have called (our loved one) to be like YOU and to be made right with You! And thank you Lord that as you have created (our loved one), promised to make (him/her) like your own son, called (him/her) unto you to do great things and promised to make (him/her) right with you, so your words say you will glorify (our loved one). Lord, I visualize right now (my loved one) being glorified and honored by YOU...King of Kings and Lord of Lords! How precious is that picture Lord. Thank you for this promise to a broken hearted mamma this morning! I believe this and claim this today in your son's precious name! Amen!

He’s a Chain Breaker

On this Sunday morning, let's give thanks from the depths of our hearts for what we have been given and what He is going to do in our lives and in our loved one's life!  It's coming!  Don't despair.  Don't lose hope!

January 27, 2019  Our Prayer for our loved one today:

Psalm 107:8-10,13-15 NIV [8] Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, [9] for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things. [10] Some sat in darkness, in utter darkness, prisoners suffering in iron chains, [13] Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. [14] He brought them out of darkness, the utter darkness, and broke away their chains. [15] Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind,

Lord God we give THANKS to you today for your unfailing love and your wonderful deeds in my life!  Lord THANK YOU that you satisfy our spiritual thirst Lord and fill our hungry hearts with your goodness!  Lord (our loved one) is sitting in darkness right now, in utter darkness, a prisoner suffering in iron chains.  Lord, we pray today that (our loved one) would cry out to you in (his/her) trouble Lord and thank you today that You WILL bring (him/her out of (his/her) utter darkness and break away all of (his/her) chains!  Lord, we ALL give thanks to you Lord for your unfailing love and all of your wonderful deeds.  Lord because we KNOW that every good and perfect thing comes from You and You alone!  We thank you and praise you this morning.  In Jesus Precious Name.  Amen

No Condemnation

The spirit of condemnation.

The tool he uses to keep us sick.

“I am bad.”  “I am an addict.”  “I am the sum of my failures.”    “I will never get better”

The momentary numbing of the emotional pain always brings us back to bondage.

Today we pray against the spirit of condemnation and the spirit of failure.

Because Christ bore that to the cross.

No guilt, no shame.

A full pardon

January 26, 2019  Our prayer for our loved one today:

Romans 8:1-2 NIV [1] Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, [2] because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.

Father we come before you today with the authority of the suffering Jesus Christ paid on the cross.  We thank you that because of his death we don’t have to live in lies and deception, that we can walk in truth.  We pray against any spirit of condemnation or failure that has taken hold of [our loved one].  We believe that through Christ Jesus,  your Spirit, who gives life to [our loved one],  will set [him/her] free from sin and death.   We believe that through you, true freedom will come to [our loved one].  We pray that all of [our loved one’s] chains will be broken today.  We pray this with confidence in your son's Holy and precious name.  Amen

Love Will Lead Them Home

One day, in the middle of all of the craziness, we were sitting across from a pastor asking for counsel.  He gave us some pretty profound advice that changed the course of our journey.  And as we finished the conversation he looked at us and said, “Just remember....LOVE NEVER FAILS.”

I know that I can’t love the way I need to, unless I fully understand how much my Heavenly Father loves me.  So today, I pray that you will be absolutely filled to overflowing with the anointing love of our amazing God.  So much so, that it overflows and spills out on everyone around you.

And I pray that love will drive everything you do, as you come alongside your precious loved one that is suffering.  Because that love will lead them home.

January 25, 2019  Our prayer for our loved one today:

1 Thessalonians 3:11-13 MSG [11-13] May God our Father himself and our Master Jesus clear the road to you! And may the Master pour on the love so it fills your lives and splashes over on everyone around you, just as it does from us to you. May you be infused with strength and purity, filled with confidence in the presence of God our Father when our Master Jesus arrives with all his followers.

Lord God, we come before you today with the desire to fully experience Your love in our lives.  We know that perfect love cast out all fear and that love never fails.  Lord our motive for our prayers is love.  Love for You and love for [our loved one].  Lord we pray today that You would intervene on our behalf and clear a road for [our loved one] straight to you!  Lord we pray that You would pour out Your love so fully that it fills [our loved one's] life and splashes over on everyone around [our loved one], just as it has done from You to us!  Lord we pray today that you would infuse [our loved one] with strength and purity.  That you would fill [our loved one] with confidence in Your presence Lord.  And that one day, when Your son appears You will say to us and to [our loved one] well done good and faithful servant.   We ask this in Your Son's precious name.  Amen.

He Cares for You.

Fear and anxiety are sadly, just a normal part of the journey that we are on in life in general, but even more so when we have a loved on that struggles. There is nothing new under the sun, so this is talked about extensively in God's love letter to us.

Friends, he does not want us to be a slave to fear. He does not want us to be a slave to worry. He does not want us to be a slave to anxiety.

We are his children. And like we comforted our own babies with our love, when they were fearful or anxious, so he longs to comfort us.

And our sweet loved ones...well they live with fear and anxiety every single moment of every day. They are trapped in a world they didn't ask for. A world that is foreign. One they don't belong in. And deep down they desire to be released from that world.

Praying today that each of us would take our deepest worries and fears and lay them at the foot of the cross.

January 24, 2019 Our Prayer for our Loved One today:

1 Peter 5:7 NLT [7] Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

Lord, we sit at your feet this morning filled with the worries and fears of today. Lord, sometimes the burden is just too heavy to carry. And Lord, we don't want to carry it alone. This morning we release the yoke that is choking us, we lift it off of our shoulders and lay it at the foot of the cross. We believe that we don't have to be a slave to anxiety or fear and we release those to you as well. Lord, we know that [our loved one] struggles with irrational fears. The fear of a different life. The fear of disappointing us. The fear of living life on life’s terms. And we pray against those fears and anxieties. We declare peace for [our loved one]. We declare a sound mind for [our loved one]. We declare power for [our loved one]. The power to make the choice today to live. And Lord, we pray that in the way only you can, that you would wrap [our loved one] in your love today, that through some beautiful orchestrated circumstance [he/she] would see you and how deeply you care for [him/her]. Lord, we thank you for watching over [our loved one] and keeping [him/her] close to You. We pray this in Your Son's Holy Name. Amen

He Will Level Mountains

These verses have been one of my life verses for years. As we have gone through almost every obstacle possible in our lives, we held on to this promise.

Friends, God is going before our loved ones. He is clearing a path. He is leveling mountains. He is breaking down bars of iron.

Just so that one day...

One day...

He will be SO obvious to them, they won't be able to deny him.

January 22, 2019. Our prayer for our loved one today:

Isaiah 45:2-3 NLT

[2] This is what the LORD says: "I will go before you, "my child", and level the mountains. I will smash down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron. [3] And I will give you treasures hidden in the darkness- secret riches. I will do this so you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, the one who calls you by name.

Lord, we come before you today facing mountains. There is a wilderness in front of us and we see no way out. So we look to your word and your promises to give us strength and encouragement. And you are the God who can make a way through that wilderness. Lord, we believe that you are going before (our loved one) and that you are leveling mountains for (him/her). Lord, you are smashing down gates of bronze and cutting through bars of iron, to make a path for (our loved one). Lord, we know that you have amazing treasure in store for (our loved one). Lord, we believe this will be so miraculous that there will be no denying you Lord, that (our loved one) will KNOW that you are the Lord, who calls (our loved one) by name. Lord, we trust your promises and believe this today. In your son's precious name we pray! Amen

He Will Bring You Through the Fire

Fire…

The killing off.

The cleansing.

The refining.

The clearing out for all that’s new.

He will bring us through the fire. And just like in nature, after the fire will come abundance.

Beauty from ashes.

For us...

For our loved one...

January 22, 2019 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Psalm 66:12 NLT [12] We went through fire and flood, but you brought us to a place of great abundance.

Lord, we come before you this today with expectation and hope in our hearts. We thank you that you are real and your promises are true. Lord, we believe that you go before us, you are with us and you go behind us. We are in the middle of the flood and the fire. Lord, [our loved one] is in the middle of the flood and fire. But you promise that you will bring [our loved one] through these trying times. Lord, we thank you! We thank you that one day [our loved one] will walk out of the fire and into a place of great abundance. That out of the ashes of our lives, something truly beautiful will be reborn. We trust you and today we are going to choose to walk in that hope! In Jesus precious name we pray. Amen

When We Run to Him, He Saves Us.

Recently a young woman in recovery shared her story with me.  She described THE moment.  The moment that she completely surrendered, turned her back on her old life and ran into the arms of her Abba Daddy.

The moment she was radically and instantly delivered.  She was in a state of near death (literally) and God not only delivered her from death but then completely redeemed her life.

I picture God standing off in the distance, with his arms open wide, saying "come, come to me.  I have this gift for you!  It's called LIFE."   It is available for ALL of us when we run to Him instead of doing life our own way.

Praying we ALL have that moment of surrender and run into His open arms today!

January 21, 2019  Our Prayer for our Loved One today:

The spacious, free life is from GOD, it’s also protected and safe. GOD -strengthened, we’re delivered from evil— when we run to him, he saves us. (Psalm 37:39-40 MSG)

Lord, today we come before you desiring freedom!  Freedom from oppression and death.  We know that You and You alone give us life and give it abundantly.  Lord, we thank you for the gift of life and pray today that (our loved one) would desire that gift as well.  Lord, we pray that (our loved one) would chose to live that spacious, free life that only You can give (him/her) and in that life (he/she) would be protected and safe.  Lord, we pray (our loved one) would be GOD-strengthened and delivered from all evil.  Lord when we run to You, You save us!  Lord, we pray that (our loved one) would run to You today!  We thank you that you are our deliverer and pray this in Your Son's precious name!  Amen

A Living Hope

I believe that our words matter. And I believe we are called to pray as if it is so, even though it isn't yet so.

These words say that each one of us has an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. And that we have great joy coming after the fire.

So walk in this truth today. Pray this over your children, over your family! These trials will some day be over. Death has been defeated. The VICTORY has already been won!

We have this living hope as an anchor for our soul.

January 19, 2019 Our prayer for our loved one today.

1 Peter 1:3-4 NIV,6-7 NLT [3] Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, [4] and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, [6] So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while[7] These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith---of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire---may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

Lord, we rejoice in your love today. We rejoice in your power. We rejoice in your promises! We BELIEVE that this battle has already been won and victory has been accomplished! Lord, we give you praise for the living hope that we have. You have reserved an inheritance for [our loved one]. An inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. One that is kept in heaven just for [our loved one]. Lord we are truly glad! We wait in expectation for the wonderful joy that lays ahead for [our loved one] even though [he/she] is enduring many trials right now. We believe the end is coming and we claim that over [our loved one's] life today. We claim victory in this battle. We do not accept defeat because you have already triumphed. Lord, we give you praise and glory and honor for all that you are doing that we can't see! We wait in great expectation for all of this to occur and thank you in your Son's precious name. Amen!

The Power of His Love

The broken-hearted...

The hurting...

The suffering...

The marginalized...

The destitute...

The crushed in spirit

The lost...

My friends...these words say that He is closest to the least of these. That may be you today. That most likely is your loved one.

These words say that He encamped around those people and that He delivers them.

That is the power of his love

January 18, 2019 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Psalm 34:4,6-7,18-19 NIV [4] I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears[6] This poor man called, and the Lord heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles[7] The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them[18] The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit[19] The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all;

Lord, thank you that you hear our cries and are closest to us when we are broken into a million pieces. We pray today that you would stay close to [our loved one] who is desperate and struggling and that you will deliver [him/her] from all of [his/her] fears. Lord, we ask today that [our loved one] would call out to you and that you would hear [him/her] and save [him/her] from all of [his/her] troubles. We pray that your angels would encamp around [our loved one] and that those angels would protect [him/her] and deliver [him/her] from harm. Draw close to [our loved one] today, draw near to your child who is broken hearted and crushed in spirit. Right now [our loved one] has many troubles, but we believe you, Lord can deliver [him/her] from them all. We pray that [our loved one] would simply whisper “yes.” We pray these things in your precious name! Amen!

I Am With You

“I am with you my child, as you sit up at night, waiting for the phone call.” “I am with you at the family gathering when she’s not there.” “I am with you at the hospital while you wait to hear if he’s alive or dead.” “I am with you when you in the middle of the argument you are having with those you love.”

“I will sustain you.”

“I battling for you.”

“I will crush those who oppress you.”

“My faithfulness and my loyal love always accompanies you.”

You are not alone. Your loved one is not alone.

January 17, 2019 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Psalm 89:20-24, 26 I have found my servant David. I anointed him with my holy oil. My hand will sustain him—yes, my arm will strengthen him! No enemy will oppress him; no wicked person will make him suffer. I will crush all his foes in front of him. I will strike down all those who hate him. My faithfulness and my loyal love will be with him. He will be strengthened by my name. He will cry out to me:“You are my father, my God, the rock of my salvation.”

Father God, we give thanks today that you have found your precious child, [our loved one]. Thank you that in your perfect timing you will anoint [our loved one] with your holy oil. Thank you that your hand sustains [him/her] and that your arms strengthen [him/her]. We pray that no enemy will oppress [our loved one] and that no wicked person will ever make [our loved one] suffer. Lord, crush down all of [our loved one’s] foes and strike down anyone who is against [our loved one]. Thank you, for comforting us with the knowledge that your faithfulness and your loyal love is always with [our loved one] and that [he/she] will be strengthened by your name. Lord we look forward to the day when [our loved one] will cry out to you "Abba, Father, my God, the rock of my salvation." Lord, we pray these things with confidence and assurance today in Jesus precious name! Amen!

You are Loved!

You may be in a place this morning where you are struggling with your faith. Struggling to believe God is who he says he is because you have been wounded, broken by someone you loved.

Or maybe for some reason you feel shamed or condemned.

And I want to whisper in your ear this morning....

That you are loved! You are loved my friend. So much so that God gave His son up for you.

And that dark world you are living in can be completely consumed with the light of His love by simply turning to Him and saying "yes Lord." Yes.

January 15, 2019 Our prayer for our loved one today:

John 3:16-18A,21 NIV [16] For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life[17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him[18] Whoever believes in him is not condemned [21] whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.

Heavenly Father....we are in awe of you today! Because You loved [our loved one] so much that You gave your one and only Son, so that when [our loved one] calls to him [he/she] will move from death to life. For God, we know that you did not send your Son into the world to condemn [our loved one], but to save [him/her] through You! Lord, we know that [our loved one] is not condemned and that when [our loved one] choses to live by the truth, the truth will come into the light so that it may be seen plainly by [our loved one] so that what [our loved one] has done has been done in the sight of God. Lord, we praise you and thank you that these things will come to pass in your perfect timing and look forward to eternity with [our loved one]! In Jesus Name we pray! Amen
