From the Lord Comes Deliverance

4 days ago a sweet mom and dad watched their son leave their home. Refusing any kind of help or treatment he packed up his vehicle and was determined to head south. We all spent the weekend praying for him and in the middle of the night last night, he showed up back at the family home looking for help.

We don't know the thoughts that go through our loved ones heads. We can't hear their hearts cry. But God does. He hears them and He sees their tears. We never know when that moment will come.

It could come on the couch of a friends. It could come in the tent they are living in. It could come at the alter of a random church they step into because they were drawn to it. It could come behind a steering wheel of a car. It could come on the bathroom floor of a McDonalds, just before they shoot up again.

But the Lord says deliverance WILL come.

It is why we can never lose hope.

Our prayer for our loved one today:

Psalm 3:3-5,8 NIV [3] But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high[4] I call out to the Lord, and he answers me from his holy mountain[5] I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me[8] From the Lord comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people.

Oh Lord, thank you that you are a God who loves us and cares for us and loves [our love one] even more than we do. We ask today that you be a shield around [our loved one]. We ask that you ift [our loved one's] head high today. When [our loved one] calls out to you we pray that you answer [him/her] from your Holy Mountain! When [our loved one] lies down to sleep let [him/her] awake anew because you sustain [him/her]. From you alone comes deliverance for [our loved one]. Lord, may your blessings be on [him/her] today. We pray this in your Son's precious name! Amen.

Now Choose Life

She had lost everything valuable to her because she was so entangled in her suffering loved one's life.

She was physically sick.

Her friends didn't want to be around her. Her family was in constant conflict.

Her loved one was going deeper into her addiction.

She was desperate. She had hit her bottom.

And she wanted to live instead of die. She wanted life.

We all wake up each morning with the same number of seconds given to us. How are you going to use yours today?

Are you going to choose gratitude? Peace? Love?

Are you going to choose LIFE?

Praying today that through faith we make that choice. And praying today through faith that our loved ones do the same.

September 20, 2018 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Deuteronomy 30:19-20 NIV[19] This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live [20] and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life...

Lord, we come before you today grateful because you have the words of eternal life. Today, this moment, you have set before each of us a choice. You have set before [our loved one] the choice of life or death, blessings or curses. We pray that [our loved one] would choose life, so that [he/she] and [his/her] entire family would live...really live!! We pray that [our loved one] would chase after you, would listen to your voice and would hold fast to you! For in you there is life. Lord, we agree with your word today. We ask these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen!

My Strength and Song

One day not long ago, I had lunch with a beautiful young woman named Savannah. She was 4 months in recovery. Savannah had lost everything. She was living in her car, using IV drugs, had lost her 5 children. Through a series of events that only God could orchestrate she met Jason. Jason too, was addicted to drugs. Jason had an epiphany one day and opened his Bible. Randomly opened his Bible. And God, in that moment spoke to him. Even in his addiction, Jason recognized truth. And in love he shared truth with Savannah. Both Jason and Savannah went through different treatment programs and now they are both sober and wrecked for Jesus.

They didn’t go to a faith-based rehab. They didn’t get prayed over by someone else. They didn’t hear a powerful message and have a conversion experience. God just simply came to them and they whispered “yes”.

Your loved one could be Savannah or Jason. You see God came to them and rescued them in the most miraculous way. And now they are sharing their truth with others.

When things seem hopeless, God is working the hardest.

We can’t. But He can.

September 19, 2018 Our prayer for our Loved One today;

Isaiah 12:2-5 NLT [2] See, God has come to save me. I will trust in him and not be afraid. The LORD GOD is my strength and my song; he has given me victory." [3] With joy you will drink deeply from the fountain of salvation! [4] In that wonderful day you will sing: "Thank the LORD! Praise his name! Tell the nations what he has done. Let them know how mighty he is! [5] Sing to the LORD, for he has done wonderful things. Make known his praise around the world.

Sweet Heavenly Father, we are so grateful to sit at your feet today and praise you and thank you for ALL the good you give us so graciously. We thank you for the gift of [our loved one]. Lord, we believe that your desire, your very heart is to rescue [our loved one]! We know that [he/she]is afraid, that [he/she] is struggling today. We pray that [he/she] would trust You and would not be afraid to surrender [his/her] everything to you! You are our strength and our song and in you [our loved one] will have victory!. May [our loved one] drink deeply from the fountain of your saving grace! We believe and trust that in that wonderful day [our loved one] will sing "Thank you Lord!" And we are excited for that day when [he/she] will make known to others all the wonderful things that you have done in [his/her] life. We believe and do not doubt! We trust in your promises today and we pray all of these things in your might name! Amen!

He Heals

Every Sunday we do a meal, ministry and church for about 125 homeless and the underserved. It is a beautiful thing and I have seen God move mountains In the hearts of the people who walk through the doors.

Recently, I met Janelle and Nicole. Both at the end of themselves. Crying out for help because their lives were unmanageable.

We have had young men, men like your sons, and young women, women like your daughters come to the alter and ask for healing. Begging to be set free.

And I have seen some of these sweet souls move from addiction and oppression to freedom. From homelessness to not only having a physical home, but having a spiritual home.

Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals, still heals today my friends. He breaks chains. He sets the captives free.

He can do that for you. He can do it for our loved ones. Your prayers matter. He hears them. And we never know when and where they will be answered.

September 18, 2018 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Jeremiah 17:14 GNT [14] LORD, heal me and I will be completely well; rescue me and I will be perfectly safe. You are the one I praise!

Lord, we come before you today knowing that you have the power to heal any sickness, rescue us from our brokenness and break any stronghold. Lord our prayer is simple today...heal [our loved one] so [he/she] can be completely well. Rescue [our loved one] so [he/she] will be perfectly safe. And Lord may the praise of your name one day be on [our loved one's] lips. We trust in your perfect plan and believe you will work all things out in your perfect timing. We pray this in your Son's precious name. Amen.

He Makes Us Beautiful and Whole

The valley of the shadow…

Death.

A reality for all of us but even more so for our prodigals. Yet, as followers of Christ, we believe that this Earth isn't our final stopping point. And we long for the day when wholeness comes to each one of us.

However these words say that we don't have to wait for that transformation. It can happen right here, right now. Through His power. Are we waiting to die to live? That is not his plan for us. His plan is that he can make us beautiful and whole today.

I have experienced this. Through the brokenness I am not the same person. In the shattering, I have been remade. I have been “put together” as I should be.

And I will not stop praying for this to happen to each of us today.

September 17, 2018 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Philippians 3:20-21 MSG [20-21] But there's far more to life for us. We're citizens of high heaven! We're waiting the arrival of the Savior, the Master, Jesus Christ, who will transform our earthy bodies into glorious bodies like his own. He'll make us beautiful and whole with the same powerful skill by which he is putting everything as it should be.

Abba Father....You are a good God. A God who hears us and who delights in us. A God who longs to give us our hearts cry. Lord today agree in prayer that there is so much more to life for us then our minds can comprehend. And so much more life in store for [our loved one] because you have called [him/her] a citizen of heaven! Lord, through the power of Jesus Christ, we believe that you will transform [our loved one] from the image [he/she] is right now, into your glorious likeness. We believe that you will make [our loved one] beautiful and whole by the powerful skill you posses to align everything as it should be. You are in the business of transformation and we believe that even now this transformation is taking place in each of us who whisper Your name. We call this into being through prayer in Your son's precious name. Amen!

When We Call, He Will Answer

On this Sunday morning….

May light break forth from the darkness…

May healing quickly appear…

May His glory be our guard…

And may we be filled with confidence and joy…

Because when we call to Him…

He WILL answer.

September 16, 2018 Our Prayer for our Loved One today:

Isaiah 58:8-9,11,14 NIV [8] Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard[9] Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I[11] The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs and will strengthen your frame....14] then you will find your joy in the Lord, and I will cause you to ride in triumph!

Lord, we thank you that you are the same God yesterday, today and forever. Lord, we thank you for your Word and that we can trust the promises that are written to us. Lord, we believe that one day soon, You will reveal yourself to [our loved one] and on that day [our loved one's] light will break forth like the dawn and [his/her] healing will quickly appear! On that day Your righteousness will go before [our loved one] and Your glory will be [his/her] rear guard. That day [our loved one] will call to You and You will answer [him/her]. [He/she] will cry for help and You will say "here I am!" Then You will guide [our loved one] and will satisfy [his/her] needs and will strengthen [him/her]. One that day [our loved one] will find JOY in You, Lord and [he/she] will finally triumph and gain VICTORY in YOU! Lord, we look forward to that day and pray with confidence that it will come in your perfect timing. We pray this in your Son's precious name! Amen.

Our Defense

And in these verses we hear the story of redemption. Of a rebellious, stubborn, unfaithful man who was running from God. In his struggle, in the depth of his despair, he finally cried out and said “Lord, save me.” And he was delivered.

When things seem hopeless, when they can’t always cry out on their own behalf, we have one line of defense that is ALWAYS effective...

It is our prayers.

And God hears you. He hears your pain-filed pleas. And when you call He will answer.

September 15, 2018 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Jonah 2:2,6-7,9 NIV [2] He said: “In my distress I called to the Lord, and he answered me. From deep in the realm of the dead I called for help, and you listened to my cry[6] ...But you, Lord my God, brought my life up from the pit[7] “When my life was ebbing away, I remembered you, Lord, and my prayer rose to you, to your holy temple[9] But I, with shouts of grateful praise, will sacrifice to you. What I have vowed I will make good. I will say, ‘Salvation comes from the Lord.’ ”

Father, we join you today, this moment, interceding on behalf of [our loved one]. Lord, [he/she] is sitting in darkness. [He/she] is in a pit that [he/she] can't see [his/her] way out of. Lord, we pray that in [his/her] distress [our loved one] would cry out to you and you will answer [him/her]. We agree that you alone can bring [his/her] life out of the hole [his/her] is in. As [our loved one's] life is ebbing away I pray that [our loved one] would remember you Lord and that a prayer would rise from [his/her] lips to your Holy temple. I believe that soon shouts of grateful praise will come from [our loved one’s] lips and [he/she] will cry "Salvation comes from the Lord!" Lord, I trust your word to be truth and I wait in excited anticipation for these things to come to pass. We pray this in Jesus name today! Amen

Here is the Road, Follow It

When we cry for help...

He will answer us.

When we go through hard times...

He is right there with us.

When we wander and are lost...

He will say, “Here is the road, follow it” and guide us back to him.

THAT IS HOPE.

September 14, 2018 Our prayer for our loved one today:

Isaiah 30:19-21 19 You people who live in Jerusalem will not weep any more. The Lord is compassionate, and when you cry to him for help, he will answer you. 20 The Lord will make you go through hard times, but he himself will be there to teach you, and you will not have to search for him any more. 21 If you wander off the road to the right or the left, you will hear his voice behind you saying, “Here is the road. Follow it.”

Oh Heavenly Father, fill our lungs with your breath today. Help us to fix our eyes on you alone. We trust your word when it says that your people will weep no more. Abba daddy, comfort us. Dry our tears. Because we know that you are a compassionate God and when [our loved one] cries to you for help you will answer [him/her]. We know that you have allowed [our loved one] to go through these hard times so that [he/she] would find the end of [himself/herself] and reach out to you. We trust that you will be with [him/her] to teach [him/her] and that [our loved one] will not have to search for you any more. We ask that as [our loved one] wanders off of the road you desire to have [him/her] on, you would walk with [him/her]. Lord, as a shepherd guides his sheep, we pray that [our loved one] would hear Your voice gently calling to [him/her] "here is the road, follow it" and [he/she] would chose the path of life. We pray this in your Son's holy name. Amen

Straight Paths

So many times I have had to wrestle with God.  To work through the process of surrender to a place of peace.   It doesn't come natural for any of us.  But I have learned that it is the path to abundant life.

Praying today for you, as you wrestle through your questions for God.  And praying today for our loved ones.  That they would finally come to that place of total surrender.

September 13, 2018  Our prayer for our loved one today:

Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV

[5] Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; [6] in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Lord God Your word says that if we delight ourselves in You, You will give us the desires of our heart.  Lord, our desire is this...that [our loved one] would trust in you with all of [his/her] heart.  That [our loved one] would not lean on [his/her] own understanding.  We pray today that in all of [our loved one's] ways [he/she] would submit to You and that You would make [his/her] path straight.   Lord, we whisper this simple prayer in your Son's precious name!  Amen

Deep Roots

One of the things I love about our home is the trees in our yard.  We have two different kinds of very mature trees.  One is an ash tree, which has a massive root system and those roots go down deep into the soul and tend to spread out very wide.  The other tree that we have is the pine tree.  Pine trees don’t have very deep roots, therefore they are more susceptible to being uprooted by the elements.  Not long ago we had a tremendous storm with extremely high winds.  In the middle of the storm we heard loud cracks and bangs.  Sure enough, one of the old pine trees in our back yard toppled over.

But the ash trees…

The trees with the deep roots…

They were unmovable.

Praying today that our loved one would become like that ash tree.  That the small, positive seeds of faith would begin to take root.  And they would grow and go deep into the soil of their hearts.  And that one day nothing, not anything would be able to uproot their lives.

September 12, 2018 Our prayer for our Loved One today:

Jeremiah 17:7-8 TLB

[7] But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and has made the Lord his hope and confidence[8] He is like a tree planted along a riverbank, with its roots reaching deep into the water-a tree not bothered by the heat nor worried by long months of drought. Its leaves stay green, and it goes right on producing all its luscious fruit.

Father God, thank you for Your word and that we can fully trust it.  Thank you that You give us visions and pictures of what will come to be.  Lord, today I will picture [our loved one] as You picture [him/her].  Lord we pray with our whole being that [our loved one] will come to trust in You and that [he/she] will find [his/her] hope and confidence in You alone.  Lord we pray that [he/she] will become like a tree planted, with [his/her] roots reaching deep in Your truth and Your strength.  We pray that [he/she] will become so solid and strong that nothing will succeed in coming against [him/her].  Lord, we believe that you have a calling on [our loved one's] life that you have a special plan and purpose for [him/her].  Lord we trust in that plan today.  We wait in humble anticipation for it to come to pass.  We pray these things today in Your Son's precious name.  Amen

A New Heart

Right now...

Right this minute...

God is working behind the scenes to make this happen.  We don't know how and we don't know when.  But because of this precious promise we can be assured that there will be a time...His perfect time, when this will happen.

When He will give them a heart to know Him.  And they will become His people.  And they will return to Him with all of their heart.

Today I will choose to walk in faith and joy because I believe this truth.

September 11, 2018  Our prayer for our loved one today:

Jeremiah 24:7 NIV
[7] I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the Lord. They will be my people, and I will be their God, for they will return to me with all their heart.

Abba father, we come before you today humble and contrite.  Our desires are so simple.  Life for us.  Life for our loved ones.  Lord we pray today that you would give [our loved one] a heart to know You.  Lord we pray that . [he/she. ] would acknowledge that You are [his/her] Lord.  We pray that [our loved one] would desire a relationship with you and desire for You to be [his/her] God.  We thank you for the promise that [our loved one] will return to You with all [his/her] heart.   We believe these words of truth and we choose to walk in faith today.  In Jesus precious name we pray,  Amen.

Jeremiah 24_7.jpg

From Dark to Light

Recently while serving one of our homeless guests at our mission I met Monte.  He was pretty worn looking and I could tell he had seen a lot of life.  His countenance was one of being beaten down by the world.  But as we started serving him and engaged in conversation, his shoulders raised up, his face began to change and it was apparent that day that his load got a little lighter.  At the end of the evening he told us he’d be back and said “there’s just something different about being here.   I haven’t felt this good for awhile.”

Was it me talking to him?  Was it the other servers?  No it was the presence of the living God in that place.

God encounters happen all the time.  Light always shines through the darkness.  God’s light can permeate through even the most difficult situations, the most harden hearts.

Praying today that our loved one would have a God encounter and that His light would lead them home.

September 10, 2018  Our prayer for our loved one today:

Isaiah 9:2 NIV
[2] The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned.

Lord, you call into being things that never existed as if they did.  We thank You that You can turn our loved one’s hearts to You with a whisper. Lord we pray that today, even though (our loved one) is walking in darkness (he/she) will see YOUR great light through some circumstance or some angel walking on this Earth.  We thank You that Your light will dawn and shine down on those living in deep darkness.  You are the light that will move (our loved one) from death to life.  Abba daddy, we thank you in advance as we wait for this truth to come to pass.  We pray this in Your son’s precious name!  Amen.

Just Love

Today is Sunday.  A good day to stop and breathe and refocus.  After what may have been a difficult few days, it's good to give thanks for our loved one.  For who they are and for their value as a beautiful creation from God.

We were all created for a purpose.  We are worthy because off His love, not because of what we do or don't do.

So today....

Just love.

September 9, 2018  Our prayer for our loved one today:

Psalm 139:13-14,16,24 NIV
[13] For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. [14] I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. [16] .....all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. [24]....lead me in the way everlasting.

Lord we come before you this morning with praise and thanksgiving.  Because we know God that nothing you do is a mistake.  Lord, you created (our loved one's) inmost being; you knit (our loved one) together in my womb.  Lord I praise you because (our loved one) is perfectly and wonderfully made!  All of your works are wonderful.  We believe that and know that full well!  Lord, we believe that all of (our loved one) days were ordained for (him/her)  and were written in your book long before they will ever come to be.  Lord we believe that you have a special plan for (our loved one).  Lead (him/her) in the way everlasting today Lord so that your plan can be fulfilled.  We ask this with confidence in your perfect will!  In Jesus Name we pray!  Amen!

Glory Strength

I was taught as a young person to be self-sufficient and to persevere.  It was one of my strengths.  I was told I was dogmatic and when I set a goal I rarely fell short.  In 2004 I set a goal to run Boston Marathon and in 2008 I achieved that goal.  Running a marathon and having babies.  Two things that took every single bit of my “gutting it out” skills.

But when addiction hit our family,  I soon realized that I could have been Ironman or Wonder Woman and still would not have had the strength on my own to handle the mayhem that was my life.

We soon came to the realization that there was only One that could restore us to sanity.

When we've tried everything we can to do this on our own, and we fail again and again, we come to realize that our strength isn't enough.  When we do, it is then that we are able to surrender and ask God to fill us with His strength, the glory-strength that only He can give us.  So we are then equipped  to stick it out for the long-haul.

The kind of strength that can endure the unendurable and spills over into JOY!

Praying this for us.

Praying this for our loved ones today.

September 7, 2018. Our Prayer for our Loved One Today:

Colossians 1:9-12 MSG
[9-12] Be assured that from the first day we heard of you, we haven't stopped praying for you, asking God to give you wise minds and spirits attuned to his will... We pray that you'll live well for the Master, making him proud.    As you learn more and more how God works, you will learn how to do your work. We pray that you'll have the strength to stick it out over the long haul---not the grim strength of gritting your teeth but the glory-strength God gives. It is strength that endures the unendurable and spills over into joy, thanking the Father who makes us strong enough to take part in everything bright and beautiful that he has for us.

Father God, we intercede today on behalf of all of our loved ones. We cry out today for those who are in the throes of an addictions or oppression, those who are choosing the hard work of recovery and all those who are struggling day to day as they walk through a dark valley.  Lord, we will not stop praying for (our loved one).  We ask that You give (our loved one) a wise mind and spirit attuned to Your will.  We pray that (our loved one) would choose to live well for You, making You proud.   We pray as (our loved one) learns more and more about how You work and about doing Your work through (his/her) transformation, that (he/she) would stick it out for the long-haul with the strength that endures the unendurable and spills over into JOY.   Lord we pray (our loved one) will overflow with thanksgiving for You, who makes us strong enough to take part in everything bright and beautiful that You have ready for (him/her) in (his/her) life! We believe that (our loved one) has an amazing future in You, Lord.  We believe this will happen for (our loved one) and look forward to that day.  In Jesus Name we pray.  Amen!

He Bleeds

The words of this Psalm just cut to my heart but even more so from the Message version of the Bible.

"Because he rescues the poor at the first sign of need, the destitute who have run out of luck. He opens a place in his heart for the down-and-out, he restores the wretched of the earth. ...when they bleed, he bleeds; when they die, he dies.".   Psalm 72:12-14 Msg.

He opens his heart to the down and out
He restores the wretched
When they bleed, he bleeds.

When they bleed, he bleeds.

He not only sees your loved one, he not only loves them, but He cares so deeply, loves so fully that when they suffer, He suffers with them.

And it says that He WILL restore them.

He's always at work my friends.

Never ever give up hope.

September 6, 2018. Our prayer for our loved one today:

Psalm 72:12-14 NIV
[12] For he will deliver the needy who cry out, the afflicted who have no one to help. [13] He will take pity on the weak and the needy and save the needy from death. [14] He will rescue them from oppression and violence, for precious is their blood in his sight.

Lord, thank you that you are our Heavenly Father, our Abba Daddy, the One who loves us perfectly and completely.  Lord thank you that your heart is for us and you only desire the best for us.  Lord, thank you this morning that you promise to take care of (our loved one) who is helpless and poor when (he/she) cries out to you.  Lord, right now you are the only one who can defend (him/her).  Thank you that you promise in your word to care for the weak and needy and that you will rescue (our loved one).  Lord, save (our loved one) from the oppression (he/she) is battling right now, today and save (our loved one) from any violence (he/she) may encounter.  Lord, because we KNOW that (our loved one's) life is so precious to You.  Lord, thank you that you love (our loved one) more than we do.  We sit at your feet today, grateful for your saving power.  We pray this in Jesus precious name...Amen!

Freedom

Praying today that the veil of oppression and deception, the spirits of addiction, unworthiness, self-doubts, fears, failure and any others strongholds would be torn in two by the power of the spirit of the living God!

Because where the spirit of the Lord is..there is FREEDOM!!

It has already been done for us.  I pray that each one of us would simply step into that today!

September 5, 201  Our prayer for our loved one today:

2 Corinthians 3:16-18 NLT
[16] But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. [17] For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. [18] So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord-who is the Spirit-makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.

Lord, we enter into Your presence today on behalf of (our loved one) because we believe that You have the words of eternal life.  We believe that (our loved one) will turn to You and (his/her) vail will be taken away.  We agree that where Your Spirit is, there is FREEDOM!  We believe that the masks (our loved one's) wears will be soon be removed forever and (he/she) on that sweet day (he/she) will reflect Your glory!  We rejoice that in time (our loved one) will become more and more like You and that one day (he/she) will be transform into Your glorious image!  In Jesus Holy and precious name we pray!  Amen.

Peace I Give

Holidays, weekends, special events….

The empty chair at the table.

The obvious absence of our precious loved one.

The pain is impossible to walk through.

And we can't without leaning on Him.

Remember, as hard as it is for us, it's unbearable for Our Loved Ones. The distance. The separation. The alienation.

Yes, they can numb it, but when they wake up day after day in the same oppression, they feel restless and afraid and remorseful and dejected. And they don't know how to get out of that cycle.

Today I pray the giver of peace fills each of us with overflowing peace as we listen for that quite voice that says “I love you.”

John 14:27 NLT
[27] "I am leaving you with a gift-peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid.

Father God, you are the Prince of Peace. And you came to bring us the perfect peace that can only come from you. Lord, thank you for leaving us that gift. Peace of mind and heart. And I pray today that [our Loved One] would experience that gift in some small way. Through a touch, a smile, a sense that comes onto [him/her]. Lord, I pray that today [he/she] would look for that gift in You and not in anything the world can give [him/her]. And Lord, I pray that you would take any troubles,  fear or anxiety and lift it from [our Loved One] today so that [he/she] can be completely filled to overflowing with Your peace!

Our “To Do” List Today

In the middle of the insanity, it's hard to trust...

You feel distant from God....

You are struggling with believing anything good will come from all of this....

And you simply want to do something to make it all better...

When the world tells you to do nothing, God in his wisdom gives us a guide for action.  So here is your lists of “do’s” for today:

Trust in Him:  He will keep you safe
Delight in Him (I mean radical joy!): He will give you the desires of your heart (He already knows the deep desires).
Commit your way to him (really commit - not just a little bit): You will shine like a star

And the most difficult of all...

Be patient:  Watch and see the wild, amazing thing God will do in your life and in your loved one’s life.

Praying today that we can focus on God’s “to do” list for us.   He is ready to do miracles!

September 3, 2018 Our Prayer for our loved one today:

Psalm 37:3-6 NIV
[3] Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. [4] Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. [5] Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: [6] He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn…[7] Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him.

Lord, thank you that today you are a big God who can be completely trusted. As we trust in you we pray also that (our loved one) will trust in you and begin to do the right things so that (he/she) can live safely in this land.  Lord we pray that (our loved one) will take delight in you and you alone.  We know that as (he/she) begins to live for you, you will give (him/her) the desires of (his/her) heart.  We pray that (our loved one) would commit (his/her) ways to you and that (he/she) would trust in you and walk in your will.  We know that (our loved one’s) goodness will shine when that day comes.  We pray for that day to come quickly, but Lord, we know that it will come in your perfect timing.  We ask for patience and perseverance in the waiting.  We lift up all of this in you son's precious name.  Amen.

Strength and Peace

On this Sunday, I claim these verses over my life.  I claim these verses over my loved one’s life.

And I pray this over each of you who are struggling today.

May you be filled today with the gift of supernatural strength and peace that only He can give us.

September 2, 2018 Our Prayer for our Loved One today:

Psalm 29:11 NIV
[11] The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.

Abba daddy, we come to You this morning weak, tired and full of anxiety and turmoil because we know that our loved ones are wounded, lost and exhausted.  Lord, we know that You are the only source of true healing, true freedom.  Father God, we ask today that you would give strength  to (our loved one) today, because we know that (our loved one) is Your precious child.  We pray that You, in all of your love and mercy, pour out a special blessing of peace over (our loved one) as (he/she) struggles through this day.  You are the author and giver of life.  Lord, we pray today that (our loved one) would choose life.  We believe, in faith, that your promise will come to be and we step in to your perfect peace for us today as well.  We pray this in Your son’s precious name.  Amen

It's Not Yours to Carry

Psalm 55_22.jpg

The weight you are carrying….

It’s not yours to carry.

The burdens that you are holding on to…

Are not yours to bear.

But grace…

That measureless grace.

That is what is waiting for each of us…

If we are willing to lay it at the foot of the cross.

September 1, 2018 Our prayer for our Loved One today:

Psalm 55:22 TPT [22] So here's what I've learned through it all: Leave all your cares and anxieties at the feet of the Lord, and measureless grace will strengthen you.

Merciful Father, we sit at your feet today bearing the full weight of the burdens we are carrying.  The load is heavy.  Too heavy for us to manage on our own.  Lord, we know that the only way we are going to continue to climb this mountain is if we hand this load off to you.  Father, we release all of our cares, all of our anxieties all of our fears, over to you.  Lord, we pray this for (our loved one) as well.  (He/she) is suffocating under the weight of the strongholds and difficulties in (his/her) life.  We pray for a releasing today.  We pray that (our loved one) would let go of all that (he/she) is holding so tightly to, the things of this world that are of no use to (him/her).  Those things that hold (him/her) back from experiencing the full measure of your glorious grace.  Lord, strengthen (him/her).  Fill (him/her) with the power that only you can give (our loved one).  The God—strength that gives (him/her) the peace to say “Abba Father, I can’t, but you can.”    We pray these things in your son’s precious name.  Amen.
